I went to bel fries for the 2nd time. The fries are good. I like how it’s crispy and tasty. I tried the poutine and it was... alright. Not the best spin on poutine but it was okay. The gravy should’ve been a little thicker and more cheese. The pricesare high for just fries. Nothing bad about it tho. Only concern is the price. Read more

Incredible spot for fries and a great late-night pick-me-up! Chicken is surprisingly good too for something that\'s probably... going straight from the freezer to the fryer! Good sauces too! Read more

Nice little spot for quick fast food. Loved that you can grab-and-go & eat your food as you go because of the open-box container... the food is served in. They also have so many interesting sauce choices. Btw love the lights setup I’m sure at night it lookseven better. Read more

Cheese bacon fries ????????:cheese fries with generous amount of bacon sprinkled on top. Got the fries sauce, garlic aioli, and... chipotle mayo as dipping sauces on the side. Docked one star because I felt like the fries could\'ve been a tad more crispy. Thefrite sauce was my personal favorite. Read more

Bel was one of my favourite snack spots in the city but they now have a totally new recipe. Not Belgian anymore, just normal... frozen fries with a thin batter like you’d get at Checkers or KFC. No friterie in Belgium would ever serve something likethis, Bel should be ashamed of themselves.\n\nI asked a member of staff about it (in case perhaps they ran out of potatoes andhad to run to a grocery for frozen fries to get through the day) and she said this is how the fries are supposed to be and thatthey\'ve been like that for many months. Yet if you look at their website they still show a picture of their old fresh potatorecipe. It was extremely disappointing. I spent $9.53 for a medium order and it went straight in the bin. Then I cycled over tothe friterie on Macdougal Street and found some frites almost as good as what Bel used to have.\n\nBy the way, I emailed thecompany before posting this review to give them a week to respond and explain, but got no reply. Bel-Fries has been on my list forever, and I’m so glad I was finally able to make the trip down from CT to try them! The queso... bacon fries were delicious, as well as the popcorn chicken. Their small cone size was a perfect portion and didn’t leave mefeeling overwhelmed. The artisan sauces were good, and the food was ready fairly quickly. I really appreciated that they had alittle sit down area outside! The inside was fun and trendy, and if I were local, I could definitely see myself stopping herewhen I had a craving for fries. So so good! We walked by recently and today we decided to give it a try. (I was really craving European style fries).\nDelicious... and super fresh fries and a great variety of sauces!!\nThey actually put the frozen fries in the fryer the moment you order toensure best quality and a hot product.\nClassic poutine was great and the small size of Belgian fries with 3 sauces too!\nThetwo of us couldn’t even finish both because the portions are huge.\nVery satisfied!! Stopped by today for the first time and had some amazing gourmet fries (medium)and a bottle glass of coke for $13. I chose the... bacon and queso. I must say I enjoyed the whole thing. The fries were very fresh they make it right there on the spot. It wascrispy and soft in the middle. Definitely will come by and have more fries in the future. Also customer service was great. Theyguy that took my order was extremely nice and friendly. He made ordering very easy and explained to me the different types offries I can make. Read more
