Excellent vegan Mexican food and drinks! Great ambiance with outdoor seating available. The smoked pineapple mezcalito was... delicious - a perfect balance of sweet and smoky. We started with the nachos, which are a must - beautifully presented andequally tasty. Our main courses, the spicy cauliflower enchiladas and cauliflower al pastor tacos were great as well. Bar Verde is an amazing vegan Mexican restaurant! You must come get their nachos as they are delicious and presented... beautifully! The service was excellent and our food came out fast. Their drink menu is pretty large and has a lot of uniqueofferings. They also have some great non-alcoholic options such as the spicy lemonade. If you've been looking for a vegan molesauce you must get the maitake enmolados. I've gone multiple times and everytime I go I've tried a new entree. This restaurant is great!!! I'm pescatarian and went here with two friends who have no dietary restrictions. We were all very... impressed with the drinks, they were strong and tasty. I loved all of the food we had, I thought it was incredible. There were acouple of dishes that my friends who eat meat thought were good but not GREAT, but overall we all really liked it. I'm still trying to process my experience here. One of the greatest meals I've ever had in my entire life. That is not an... exaggeration. Just roaming East Village looking for a place to eat, friend notices the delicious food the patrons were eating,we say why not give it a try. The best decision made on a complete whim. Everything was on point, from the food to the serviceto the interior decor to the housemade sodas. Food was outstanding, not your conventional tired Mexican food. Unique interestingflavors and preparations that blew things out of the water. Excellent use of vegetables and flavor profiles/contrasts. Assomeone that's worked in the restaurant industry, I appreciate this place all the more. Every vegan restaurant should strive tobe like this. Every restaurant should be this bold and this good. This was our first visit and definetly won't be our last. The loaded nacho tower was good! So many flavors! The jackfruit tacos... definetly did not disappoint. On the fence with the cauliflower tacos and could have been a little more seasoned. Was a littleto bland for our tastebuds but the staff did bring us hot sauces and dips and that definetly made it much better. The bloodorange drink was so good!! Read more
