We hadn't reserved, but the super-friendly staff let us walk in for a couple of drinks at 4pm on a Friday. It goes without... saying that this bar provides one of the best south facing views to accompany drinks in the city from its 54th Floor. The drinkswere just above average in price, but not crazy, especially given the great service and well above average views. We felt alittle cheeky at first going out and taking a few pictures, but to be fair everyone was at it so we joined in. Views aside, the bar had a nice feel and we enjoyed our stay, not once did we feel rushed to leave. Read more

The rooftop bar is rated among the best in the city. Don?t go hungry, though! The food was sadly disappointing and overpriced... for what was delivered. But the cocktails and views are absolutely incredible! Try the Purple Rain - think even Prince would beimpressed! Read more

I took my wife to Bar 54 for drinks before our dinner reservation at Le Rock. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the... drinks were decent. However, we were not impressed by the view. The skyline is blocked by all of the nearby buildings making itdifficult to see anything worthwhile. There are definitely better rooftop views in Manhattan. Read more

I visited in the late afternoon on a very hot and humid August day. Walk-in possible at around 5:30. Almost empty inside, few... guests outside at that hour. However, outside full exposure to the boiling sun. Stunning midtown views, good drink and attentiveservice, but I was told I could only walk out on the terrace once my drink ($21) had been served. A bit strange when the placeis so empty, but I fully understand they will have to make sure they are not run over by visitors who do not consume anythingbut are taking lots of selfies on the terrace... My friend was visiting from Texas, & wanted to go to a rooftop bar, so my friend suggested this one. We made a reservation on... resy (which is listed here on Google Maps) for the patio at 7:30; they required a $50 minimum per person, but that's easy withthe cost of the drinks & food. It seems like they priced things in such a way that you have to buy 3 things. We ate beforehand,so we just opted to get 3 cocktails each. Our waitress was Jay, I hope I spelled that correctly. She was very knowledgeable &kind. They don't rush you to get drinks/food because they expect you to want to enjoy the full 90 minutes. The view wasabsolutely stunning! The 2 seater tables are right against the glass edge, so we got to see everything & take some fabulouspictures throughout our time there. They usually have new reservations every 90 minutes, but the people after us didn't show up,so we were able to see the sunset & moon rise... absolutely beautiful! You can see the NYE ball, both rivers, & straight throughto the southern tip of Manhattan. At the end of the patio there's an area where they don't seat anyone so everyone is able totake pictures at the corner edge. There's even a free binocular telescope on that end if you want to see the landscape moreclosely. I don't have the best hearing, but 54 floors up I couldn't hear the hustle & bustle of Times Square below. The drinkswere tasty, & not watered down or over-juiced like I was worried they might be, but not so strong to get you drunk over 90+minutes. For my 3 cocktails, & the included 18% gratuity, my tab was about $89. On our way out we decided to hang out a bitlonger, so we sat at the bar & got one more cocktail with Jacques... he is an amazing bartender, both in personality & craft! Iforget the name of the first drink I had... but they do change things up a couple of times a year for the season, so they aren'tall always available... but, the second drink was Purple Rain, the third was an espresso martini, & the last Read more

Wowwwww! Such great service, food, drinks, and views!!! Making reservations was very easy, and once we arrived, we got... accommodated with no issues. While our table was getting prepped, we went on the balcony to enjoy the views which were to diefor! I also love the location. The skyline is beautiful, and Time Square is just right there! Highly recommend this rooftop barif visiting the area. Read more

This place is the best rooftop bar I have ever been to. The view is incredible- looking at Times Square from above is such a... unique experience. I got emotional when I first stepped out onto the terrace and saw the view. Make sure you have a reservationand be prepared to wait for an outside table. But the wait is 1000% worth it!! Read more

I shouldn't be surprised by the prices but $12 for a bottle (not even tap) of beer is a bit ridiculous. normally I'm comfortable... paying for the atmosphere alone but the selection was poor, with only one choice being in the least bit interesting though itwas $2 more expensive. overall it felt lacking. bathroom doors were a bit worse for wear and one bathroom smelled off. servicewas pleasant but not exceptional. maybe worth it on a perfectly clear day when you can see across both rivers but I won't begoing back anytime soon.
