Am incredible birthday surprise! I had no idea about dinner and yes, I was pleasantly surprised! The plating, presentation,... taste, elegance and above all the amazing personalities running around taking care of us. James and River were incredible andthey were professionally fun to be around all night. We had the 5 course tasting menu and we have a few allergies they had towork around. I will say, if your allergies are severe you should really make that clear!!! There are a variety of wines of allprices and from around the world. What an outstanding restaurant! I've eaten at Aquavit a couple of times over years and don't remember the experience being... nearly this good. Until today, it had been at least 7 or 8 years since I've been back. The food available on the lunch pre-fixmenu was absolutely fantastic, the service amazing. Worth an experience! It was my first time for Michelin 2 star restaurant and indeed an amazing tasting experience. They features... all sorts of sauces adding to the course in front of you, and the flavors are rich and colorful. My favorites are caviar andpotato, king crab and sunchock, lamb and lentil, and OMG the most famous birds nest!!! I hate goat cheese but this one is out ofmy mind, which doesn’t taste like goat cheese at all but more of creamy icy taste that melt in your mouth. Overall at its highstandards! Read more

This was a dream-like experience! Had the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairing, everything was a perfect match - smells,... flavors, textures, everything. The simplicity in the dishes allowed all the ingredients to shine through and maximize theirnatural impact on the dynamics within each bite, with me lingering on the magnificent flavors wanting for more! I called inlast-minute this afternoon, and despite being fully booked, the Aquavit team worked their magic and fitted me in for a 9pmsitting. Sean took incredible care of me and showed great pride and knowledge in the culinary arts of the institution and thewine pairings. It was also an honor (and absolute highlight of the meal) to speak with Chef Bengtsson as she made her rounds inthe dining room - surreal to chat with someone who I have an immense amount of respect & admiration for, who also turned out tobe super cool and fun!
