Reviews for Angelo's Coal Oven Pizzeria in New York, NY
Let me tell you that if you want a great authentic NY pizza, this is your place! The simplicity of the pizza: Margarita base,... mushrooms and prosciutto. Just finger licking good. I was shocked to find that it was hard to find a decent pizzeria in thiscity. But Angelo’s did not disappoint. Highly recommend! Read more
Pizza was delicious first time trying New York pizza. First on the restaurant; the vibe was impeccable and lots of seating... areas. The wait for the pizza was a bit long but for a Sunday it was about 15-30 minutes. Onto the pizza itself; the crust had anice crisp and the cheese was flavorful with a nice tangy sauce. I loved the addition of spinach on the pizza. Ordered a large17 inch cheese with pepperoni. Will definitely come again! Read more
Late lunch in Pizza heaven! That texture of the crust, and the fresh flavor of the veggies, the melt- in- the- mouth cheese- all... astonishingly great! Was pleased they could do half a type on each side. I wished I could eat more. The pasta with mushroomsand sun dried tomatoes was delectable too. Read more

This is my first experience with New York style pizza and they absolutely did not disappoint. The cross is incredible it’s... almost like a bagel kind of chewy but just wonderfully cooked. I thought that I had had really good pizza before until I hadeaten here, and they really showed you what it’s like to have a great pizza. The arugula and the basil on the pizza were justamazing. If you’re looking for a good slice of pie think Angelo’s will not disappoint you. Read more
AMAZING experience. The pizza was delicious, the Caesar salad so fresh, and the cheesecake was creamy and tart. And the wait... staff—my favorite part was our staff. He was so nice, and extremely attentive. Refilled my wine glass even though the bottlewas sitting right next to me on the table. It felt high end, but not stuffy. Definitely go. Read more
Loved the atmosphere of this place. We were able to walk in without a reservation at dinner time and we were seated right away.... The pizza itself was tasty, but the crust was crispier than I would have expected in a NY style pizza, I’m sure it’s amatter of preference. The fennel and arugula salad was an excellent starter. Good. We got the Burrata that came on a bed of caramel onions. We also ordered a large half cheese half pepperoni pizza and... small white pie to share. You can clearly taste the goodness from the coal oven. But not a place I would go to if cravingauthentic NY Pizza. The staff wasn’t too attentive, felt rushed. Read more
