Once again Dickey's in new Waverley is out of everything we tried to order tonight wife wanted a chopped beef baked potato no... potatoes I wanted a brisket mac stack no macaroni and cheese. Every time we come here they are out of something. Read more
This particular Dickey's is inside a convenience store, but it does have seating. The food was typical Dickey's - not great but... not bad either. I liked the jalapeno beans. No options for pickles, onions, or jalapenos like a restaurant would have. In themiddle of nowhere with lots of places closed for July 4th, I was glad they were open. Read more
I really want to love this place but they make it really hard. The temperature in the store is in the 80, the flies around the... food are horrible and the employees are so lack luster, you feel like you are bothering them when you place an order. Thechances of them actually having brisket and ribs, at the same time is slim! What food corner runs out of salt? The response Ireceived was "if it's not there, we don't have any." Employees were nice and friendly. If the prices were not absurd and the food wasn?t always out of supply or old this would not... be bad. I have never had GOOD BBQ from a Dickey?s. I have tried 3 different locations and multiple attempts at eachlocation... I?ve tried. Always seem to have a good staff but poor product. Sorry. Read more
Pretty expensive but choices in New Waverly are few so we have tried Dickey?s several times. We like the regular sausage,... bar-b-que beans, green beans and okra. Today I wanted to try the ribs and they were out so I thought I?d try the brisket. Itwas not good. Very dry and it was not cut against the grain so it was just long strings of meat. I waited 10 minutes on theokra because the Taco Corner was using the fryer. The wait staff is usually nice but training is severely lacking. 2 brisket and cheese tacos. About as big as a card. Very little brisket. Brisket flavor was not bad, but not worth the $6.39... with taxes. Is not everything BIGGER in Texas? Only thing big here are their yellow cups... Read more
I've had continuing issues with this Dickey's location, and one other, closing hours before posted closing times. I've placed... and paid for online orders, only to arrive at the location (25+ miles away) to find it closed. Last Friday AFTERNOON I placedan order for a 2-meat plate (ribs & brisket). Upon arriving at 5:30 PM I found all the food trays empty, and one employee whotells me "We don't have any brisket, I made it a rib plate". When asked why there was no brisket I was told "We've been busy". I received 4 ribs, and small containers of beans and coleslaw for my order. Pictures below showing this location at 5:30 on aFRIDAY AFTERNOON. Communications to Dickey's customer service through both their website and e-mail have been ignored. Read more
