I love to support our local food spots and so today I decided to try Crotty's Cheese steaks through Grubhub. I ordered one... Crispy stuffed baked potato with cheddar, bacon and broccoli, one extra large bowl of Mac and Cheese and a Canada Dry Seltzerwater. The crispy stuffed potato was just ok. The broccoli was almost mush, it was probably left to long to cook in boiledwater. The "extra large" bowl of Mac and cheese came in a 16oz soup container and it was not even filled to the top! I believeit was more like 1 & 3/4 of a cup served and found that unjustifiable especially for being charged $15.60 and the Mac and cheesetasted like it was made completely with Velveeta cheese. Lastly, they failed to include the seltzer drink. This entire ordercost me $50. I will not be ordering again. Read more
Step aside Philly, there's a new sheriff in town. I've had all the heavy hitters before. I've taken a a road trip just for a... sandwich from Pat's or Genos. Now there's Crottys. This is the perfect spot in Westchester for anything craveable, hearty andcheesy. As soon as you walk in, youre going to see the menu stacked with insane combinations. They don't just have guiltypleasures either. They have tons of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. The staff gives you a warm and inviting greetingwhen you walk in and have the grill fired up and ready to go. I ordered the Nacho cheesesteak, chicken fingers, Mac n cheese,and the cheesecake bites. I could sit here all day and tell you how great everything was. The leftovers didn't even make it onthe car ride home. This sandwich was STACKED with a pound of meat, flaming hot Doritos, ooey gooey cheese, onions, jalapeñosand all the fixins. Need I say more?!?! I Originally didn't have a good experience but owner made it right! Had to go back a few times for that baked potatoe man. On... point ! Make sure they bag that sour cream tho ! Wow! I ordered through Uber eats and man, they make an amazing Philly cheesesteak. So many options to choose from. Tastes super... fresh and gets to your door nice and HOT! I see they deliver also so I would definitely look to know if they would deliver to myaddress to save this business from Ubers fees. If you?re thinking about trying them out, I recommend you do! After following this place on social media I finally got the chance to try this place out. I?ve had a bunch of cheesesteaks from... philly as well and this cheesesteak took me back to philly, it was definitely one of my top cheesesteaks in Ny. Great qualityand flavor of the meat and the cheese wiz was amazing and the cheesesteak egg rolls were to die for ! Well Well Well.... Crotty's & Yelp has created an addiction. Yelp had an event at Crotty's which introduced me to this... establishment and I have now been back a few times. Even twice in the same week. (Smh) You just might miss it... but once youfind it you may never forget it. Located steps away from the lona college campus in New Rochelle. I enjoy the option of grilledchicken breast since I do not eat beef. My choice is the custom...loaded on a toasted garlic hoagie with provolone cheese,caramelized onions, jalapeños, grilled tomatoes, and occasionally fried pickles. No matter if it is the shorty or the regular Iam only able to eat half. The shop is small with one table for four, some out door high-tops (in warmer weather) and a windowcounter with seating for about 3. Small in size but with a staff that is big on personality and supper friendly and the food isdefinitely worth it, even if you take it to go. Thank you to Sharon, Paul, John & Harold. As well as Yelp Hudson Valley forputting Crotty's in my rotation. Just A Note: - My other 1/2 re-heats well in the toaster oven. -They are open Late and theyDeliver far (their words not mine).
