My wife and I shared the combo plate of fish and shrimp. She got a side Caesar salad to go along with hers. We still had a... go-box with food we could not finish eating! I got one of their specialty Happy Hour drinks called the Millionaire Moonshine andit was so good that I ended up getting a second one. SPICY Everything! If you love Cajun seasoning you'll probably love this place. Called in a pickup order while on vacation. ... Order was ready and correct when we pulled up (they have a pickup window), and the attendant was quick and friendly. Orderedthe grilled shrimp as I'm not huge on fried seafood or super spicy..and was highly disappointed. To be fair, I probably shouldhave asked but wasn't expecting everything ( including the sauteed veggies, okra, and hush puppies ) to be swimming in so muchspice I couldn't taste anything else. *Correction, the shrimp plate included a piece of French bread that contained zeroseasoning. pretty good! Casual dining, order at the front so you kinda have to order quickly. The only disappointment was that there?s a... bar but no drink menu? No frozen margaritas. Food was full of flavor and came out hot and quick for a Saturday Night. Hope thisplace stays open and does good! Read more

I am from out of state and was only in New Roads for a quick work trip. Me and 2 other members of my team really wanted Cajun... food before we left. A quick Google search turned up Hot Tails and it happened to only be a few miles from our job site so wedecided to give it a shot. All I can say is that we were NOT disappointed! I had the crawfish burger, and the others had theshrimp po'boy and thin catfish platter. The portions are huge and we were all very happy with our food! The staff was also veryfriendly and kept checking in on us to make sure we were still doing well. If I'm ever back in this neck of the woods, I willdefinitely be back to try other things on the menu.
