OMG sums up my review for Sonny’s BBQ. The menu offers so many options to choose from. When we all chose the St Louis Ribs,... I thought they would be good. But no! They were extracalifragalisticexpeliadocious!!!!!! I ate all my ribs because I justcouldn’t stop. I got mine sweet & savory. My parents got there’s as a dry rub. I actually used more bbq sauce to dipthem in on my plate. The sides we all picked were: Corn bread, sweet potato, coleslaw. The sides tasted fantastic. Theprices aren’t bad for all the food you get. This location has a drive thru. The bathrooms were immaculate! We arrivedaround 4:30 pm and it wasn’t super busy at that time. Our waiter was: Spencer and he was superb at his job. The bestwaiter we’ve had in a very long time. He even gave me a Diet Coke in a take out cup to go (which I loved). We’ll be backagain for more BBQ. Chicken, Mac and cheese, beans, fries, and corn bread were good. However, the ribs were tough and dry and the pork egg rolls had... no flavor. Read more
We had issues with are server and after were told the had no straws except for takeout it went downhill . Never checked on us to... see how the meal was until we were almost done. Meat in sandwiches was cold to room temp. After going here for 20 years this wasone of our worst experiences. Read more
I know that things are getting really rough when you order a sandwich and there's more bread than meat. Won't go back to that... sonny's. The one on little rd. Not happy . Read more
Gotta love Sonny's... I ordered the sampler but replaced the chicken with sliced pork. Everything was delicious, pulled pork,... brisket, sliced pork and ribs. For under $20 it's a steal. Garlic bread was also perfectly done, love visiting this place whenI'm on Florida Read more
If you're in the mood for good BBQ in the New Port Richey, FL area, look no further. Although Sonny's is a chain restaurant,... they check off all the boxes you'd want for southern BBQ: 1) the menu features all the great dishes you'd expect - ribs (St.Louie-style and Baby Back), brisket, pulled pork, and chicken - along with a tasty array fo sides - baked beans, cole slaw, cornon the cob, green beans, corn bread, (w/regular or cinnamon butter) and more! The menu includes lots of combos (i.e. pulled porkand chicken, ribs and chicken, etc.), PLUS they were happy to put together a combo I wanted that wasn't on the menu. Sweet teawas the perfect beverage for this southern meal. One caution: If you get the cobb salad (as one of us did), expect it to be BIGand to have lots of toppings such as eggs and bacon. In fact, we thought there was far too much toppings for the scant ratio oflettuce (i.e. too much "schmutz"). Now we know. I only wish we had Sonny's BBQ in Pennsylvania so I could enjoy it more often! Read more

My first time here. I ordered the smoked turkey lunch special which was excellent. My mom had the pulled pork sandwich with soda... and baked beans. The was the BEST baked beans I have had in quite some time. Read more
