Ordered the birria tacos and steak tostada, the birria taco broth was far from what is supposed to be, very blan and food was... cold , the tostada didnt even have the steak on it just beans, worst Mexican food experience I've ever had, thr broth was justthat, broth someone forgot to blend the onions and peppers and put back into the broth. Go out of your way if you have to, but don't let this place get by you...its a gem!! The beans, the rice...the Taco Mexicanos... and the BEST 3 quesa-birria TACOS I've ever eaten in my life!! Tacos are my go to comfort food so being from Tampa I've had a lot of them. I honestly was a little hesitant because the outside... doesn't seem like much but when you do walk in you walk into a small, clean shop with mismatched chairs, a hand writtenwhiteboard menu, a big bucket of fresh tortilla chips being bagged and someone cooking your order fresh. When it comes toquesabirria tacos a lot of places make them but not a lot of places make them well. These were 10/10. They were packed full offlavor, just the right amount of cheese and I topped mine with some of their red and green salsas which had just the rightamount of kick to add to the wonderful flavor profile. The consome was velvety and rich and the perfect accompaniment to thesetacos. The rice and beans was added with the meal option which were also well seasoned and flavorful. I met with Monique about a month before my wedding needing food for our rehearsal dinner. We tried a couple different items off... of the menu and it was delicious! We catered tacos and quesadilla (she included all the toppings as seen in the photo). I wish Iwould have found them earlier to cater our wedding but will definitely use for events going forward. I can?t explain how amazing Lily?s is! The staff is so friendly and like family. You walk in and it feels like a warm hug from... your abuelita. The tacos are delicious, fresh and made to order. Delicious!! A hidden gem! Authentic Mexican cuisine, great portions for the price, and excellent! The tacos Americano are the... best tacos my kids have ever had, and the quesadilla-birria tacos were amazing. The tostadas are delicious as well! The queso isthe best I?ve ever tasted.
