I realize the ingredients are top drawer, but to charge the prices that they do you also have to bring the goods in terms of the... flavor. Lagusta?s describe their chocolate as ?heartbreakingly good? and this just isn?t the case. Especially with the whitechocolate hearts we bought yesterday - they tasted pretty much like coconut oil - nowhere to be found was that intoxicatinglydelicious white chocolate flavor. And we felt queasy after eating them ????. The peanut butter cup filling was runny and alittle translucent. Not what we were expecting. On the positive side: The rosemary sea salt caramels were good, and the servicewas very friendly. Read more

I've been vegan for 5+ years and I've always lamented at the lack of intentional vegan chocolate confections. This place... exceeded every expectation I could have and blew me away with the quality and attention to detail in their chocolates. I'm notfrom the area but I WILL be ordering online. They filled a void I didn't fully realize was present in my life. Also the spiceddrinking chocolate is wonderful! Read more

We got 8 little chocolates and a mint ice cream sandwich shared among three of us. Everything was unique, delicious, and... thoroughly enjoyed. Except for the matzah, everything is made without gluten? and, from what an employee told us, that?sseasonal. So relatively safe to eat here if you have Celiac Disease. It WAS more pricey than we expected (now we know about thesourcing and reason for expense), but a total treat for a special occasion. Read more

Very Instagramable shop, from the display of artisan food products and chocolates to their Mitzvah wall, so lots of pins and art... supporting local artists and flyers for local events in town. It's very community oriented. I only stopped for iced cold brewwith their homemade honeycomb syrup with was delicious! Read more

i?ve been visiting their shop in the east village for years, so when i happened to be in new paltz and happened to see that this... place was here it was like taking a pilgrimage to mecca that i didn?t even realise. everything is perfect and i loved everymoment of my experience. great service from lovely humans. exceptional food and treats. a delightfully chipper aesthetic madeall the more heavenly with all the lovely anarco- anti-capitalist propaganda strewn about. if the world had more shops andworkers like this, i?m sure it would be such a better place. and nothing in nyc can shake a stick at the commissary! also duh itbeing all vegan makes this crusty old junk food vegan v v happy.
