SURPRISINGLY UNDERWHELMING! The truth is pure and I just tell it like it is. We went to the restaurant section for dinner.... First we stopped at the counter where we were greeted by a polite man who took our order, then we proceeded to pick a table. Thedining room is painted dull gray, it's more like a cafeteria setting where you go up and get your own silverware, or water fromthe cooler, no servers. If you're looking for ambience then No-Go. We had lobster rolls, I expected more, but they were justok. Unfortunately for some reason they keep the door to the kitchen open so it can be noisy and odd to watch kitchen work goingon. The deal breaker was whenever the bus boy came out to gather dishes from the station where people leave them at the end ofthe meal he was slamming them together sooo LOUD I couldn't believe it! Treat others the way you want to be treated.Truthfully, no aspect of this dining experience would prompt me to want to be repeat customer. Read more

I have bought seafood at Gadaleto?s before and it?s always been excellent but today was my first time dining in. My friends... comment says it all: ?I live on an island and I can?t get seafood this good there.? There is counter service and take out fornow and a spacious clean dining room for eating in. You have a choice of disposable or reusable silverware. All of the food camein generous portions and was truly delicious. The bathroom was clean although it could benefit from a few minor repairs. We willdefinitely be back! Read more

Actually 2 entities under one roof. The seafood market is definitely 5 star. The re$taurant is cozy and $erve$ great food in... more than ample quantitie$. However; that said, be sure to dress appropriately for near sub-arctic temperatures. Seems that therestaurant portion of Gadaleto's has no control over the HVAC system, and the building owner thinks that 34 degrees Fahrenheitis the ideal temperature for both businesses. Every couple and party that came in while we were dining on the excellent fish andchip$, had to retreat to their autos for extra clothing and survival gear. This could present an outstanding oportunity for ayoung entrepreneur to rent out parkas and long underwear from a van, or similar mobile conveyance, in Gadaleto's parkinglot. Another viable alternative would be to eat outside in the parking lot if the outdoor temperature is above 34 degrees. Read more

Okay. I was here many years ago and it was terrible! I went again today, at the urging of my friend...and I was pleasantly... surprised. It was very good! The blackened shrimp over crispy grits was soooo good. Spicy. The dish could have used a bit offruit salsa (like pineapple/mango) on the side for a cool down. I had shrimp in a rosé sauce for my entree. I really liked it.My friend had the steak and fried shrimp. She really liked it too. It was all a lot of food for me. I took a lot home. We hadthe warm flourless chocolate cake with vanilla gelato for dessert. I forgot to take a picture of it. Yummy too! I didn't likethe smell when I walked in the front door. I know, I know... it's a fish market too, but I still don't like that extra fishysmell. I could not smell it after we got in the restaurant though. Prices are $$ - $$$. Depends on what you get and what youthink expensive is. I would go here again. Read more
