Willa Jean is another John Besh spot that I adore. Whether you are going for a quick coffee and pastry or whether you have a big... group looking for an elevated boozy brunch experience with an upscale and modern ambience this place works! The food isdelightful and you’ll be arguing over whether the corn bread or the biscuits are better. Try both and you will not bedisappointed. Read more

This fast paced, yet stylish southern bakery, bar and restaurant is bright, inviting and serving the BEST BISCUIT I’VE EVER... HAD!!! It was warm, flaky on top with the perfect amount of salty and sweetness. We came for breakfast for the first timewithout any expectations. We made reservations so there was no wait. They did have to split our party of 6 into a group of 4 anda group of 2. I can’t remember the reason the couldn’t put the table together. It wasn’t a big deal and they were niceabout it. The service was great. The drinks and food were delicious. We went back on a later date just to buy biscuits to goand they were equally delicious as eating it at the restaurant. Read more

My second lunch here because I was little disappointed with Olde Nola. I walked over here from the French Quarter. I ordered... the farm greens salad with peaches, blueberries, and candied pecan pieces. The salad was excellent with fresh ingredients. Ilike it lightly dressed and no oil. The other dish is shrimps and grits. Very tasty sauce and creamy grits. The shrimp werefresh and fingers licking good. Service is great and Bravo to the chefs. My only wish was that they served pecan pie today. Read more

Found this Gem on the list for Restaurant Week - New Orleans. We arrived an hour early for our reservation due to traveling and... hadn't changed our watches. The host staff were gracious and provided us a table immediately. We indulged in the pork belly BLT- yum! The Shrimp & corn Bisque was one of the most flavorable explosions I have ever had. AMAZING!!! We were only visiting fora few days and our server was friendly and provided other recommendations for the area. She got them all right! Thankyou! Wish I had had room for the bakery items. Loved the ambience, minimalist decor, good service, well presented food. Found the biscuit, while beautiful and nice and crunchy... a bit bland. Coffee was a tab bitter and lacked depth. Overall worth a visit and better than most. Come early or be prepared fora crowd. Read more
