Drove over 8 hours to get to NOLA. hotel was 1 block away & we had eaten here last time. We ended up ordering cheeseburger pizza... and a couple of drinks. Waitress was super friendly and checked up on us. Pizza was fantastic. I had a local beer that wasexcellent as well. We will be going back before we leave. Read more

FYI: My review is purely based on if you are going here to eat, because this is what we came here for, and this is what we were... recommend to come here for. We were not impressed at all. There was a ribeye special. That what I chose thinking it would be agreat steak. Nope, it wasn?t. There were chewy parts and stuff that shouldn?t be in a good cut of meat like a ribeye. I wouldhave preferred a standard sirloin from about anywhere else over this. The chicken strips were ok, but nothing special, yet theywere a better choice over the steak. Service was even worse. The place was not busy. Just a couple people at the bar and acouple tables. But, the workers seems more interested in their social circle at the bar over the customers. Only one time didsomeone actually come to the table, and only after waiting for a long time. Everything else, we had to go walk around to summonpeople or ask them at the bar if we could get our order taken, or get condiments, our bill, to actually pay the bill, etc. Fewplaces have shown me poorer service. They also kept turning the music up super loud on most songs (I like loud music) to whereyou couldn?t even communicate across a table when yelling. You had to lean over and shout in someone?s ear to the point wheretheir ear drum was tickling due to the volume of the yell. Again, I like concerts, and I?m around loud music at all. I like thenight life and to have a good time. But we were here to eat, and was just out of place to have it that loud, but the workerskept turning it up to please their social circle that came to see them. I?m not a complainer, and if you look at my reviews (Ihave a lot), very few have a poor review, because I believe I review fairly, and not just off of insignificant things. I?d alsobe willing to try this place again in the future to give them another chance. I?m not sour, I?m just laying it down accuratelyin our only experience here. It was not a good one. However, considering this place has good review Read more

My girlfriend and I bumped into a nice couple around 11:30PM and suggested to us to try Turtle Bay as we were undecided what we... wanted walking down Decatur St. So grateful we sat down here! We sat at the bar and had Corey. Corey was one funny dude. Had aPurple Haze. We ordered the Buffalo wings and the Combo Pizza. Wow! Just wow. Great pizza and wings for a bar. Very satisfied. We?ll definitely be back here for a drink next time we?re in New Orleans! Read more

Super divey bar with the smell to go with it. Great spot though, cool crew, and I couldn't pass up the $20 ribeye.

Love me the local places that deliver value and quality. Simple menu, great prices, good drinks with a very good beer selection.... My wife got the resurrection, which she loves. We got 4 different burgers, all great and cooked perfectly. I can live with nodessert. A definite yes next time you're in town down on Decatur St. Read more

Talk about a gem. We just walked in on a why not and that turned to be the biggest win of our stay. The bartender Aaron was... amazing. Welcoming, friendly, and recommending amazing beer and food. I got the Tuesday special. 8oz filet mignon baked potatoand garlic bread for $16.98. Visiting from Texas the steak was amazing! Local beers on tap. Highly recommend. Read more

Found a nice little gem in New Orleans called the Turtle Bay. Originally we wanted to have breakfast at around 9:00pm so we went... down into the French Quarter in search of some not so busy restaurants. Unfortunately there was a 30-45 minute wait almosteverywhere we went. So instead we wandered around until we found this little bar and grill which was actually not busy at all.The Google reviews looked decent so we stopped in and gave it a try. The bartender was very friendly and happy to see us. Hegot us drinks immediately and wasted no time in taking our order. Now since it was a bar, the menu was somewhat limited, thoughnot to bad at all considering it is a bar. When all was said and done, I settled on a large bowl of Gumbo and a side of BeignetBites. Others in our group ordered french fries and nachos. The gumbo here was possibly the best I have had so far on thistrip. It was thick, flavorful, and had a wonderful Cajun seasoning, but was not over powering. The gumbo contained large juicyprices of chicken and sausage. This place is definitely NOT stingy on the meat. The Beignet Bites we're similar to a deep friedpowdered donut. The outside was crisp, but the inside was soft and fluffy. They were sweet and smothered in powdered sugar, which made them even better! The french fries and nachos were also quite delicious. The fries had a Cajun seasoning and thenachos came covered in just about anything you can think of. From looking at the menu and online reviews, I noticed that thisbar is also known for having crawfish feeds which looked awesome. I would definitely recommend this little gem of a bar. Read more
