Fun spot with some very innovative menu options. I had the fried mortadella Sandwich and a hogshead cheese taco. Both were... excellent. I saw a few burgers coming out of the kitchen and I will definitely be giving that a try next time. Parking is alittle rough, but that?s to be expected in this area. Read more

OMG! This place lives up to the hype. Best fried bologna sandwich I have ever tasted. The fried pot pie was amazing as well. I... will definitely add this to the list of places I visit every trip to New Orleans. Super friendly staff too. It's small so beprepared for the possibility of sharing a table. Read more

10 stars. Out of all of my travels and interesting places, T&W takes the cake. Hands down the best lunch i had while visiting... NOLA. The folks over at Glass Half Full recommended you and we?re so glad they did. The headcheese taco was perfect and easilythe best Bologna sandwich I?ve ever had. Super nostalgic setting where someone took a lot of care crafting the diningexperience. The Thriftstore McDonald?s plates were a nice touch. They also have high-quality swag if you want to sport a truckerhat or cookbook. Pretty much my favorite restaurant in New Orleans now. Read more

This place is funky and creative, all rolled into one. The essence is first observed in the decor, such as a vintage Teenage... Mutant Ninja Turtle blanket used to camouflage storage in the dining room - done as tastefully as possible. The clarified milkpunch is a crescendo of creativity. It has the hints of milk punch, but without the mouthfeel or color. It?s clear, boozy, andfull of spices. It?s not what I would have imagined, and thankfully so. Collards on a sandwich isn?t original, but neither doesit sound too appetizing. But boy they work. The collards are smokey and tangy and they hold their own in the sandwich. Read more

Best sandwiches I've ever had - we split a few. The Fried Bologna - amazing, the saltiness was perfect, the crunch great, all... around great sandwich. The Collard Green Melt - best sandwich I've ever had (not a vegetarian here) - this was a must try foranyone. Fries were great, and the pot pie was really tasty! Make this a must stop - I recommend being there early to get inline! Read more

Always so good! Unpretentious and fun atmosphere with inside and outside seating. Lots of fun throwback touches to the decor.... It's a small place, and if they are open then there's probably a line but it moves. Highly recommend the collard greens sandwichand the chicken pot pie hand pie; both kinda life-changing. Crazy good wedge salad too. Their drinks are yummy, especially thefrozen margarita with mountain dew in it (deceptively strong)! Basically order anything and you won't be disappointed. Read more

There are so many flavors to explore here. Being adventurous is seriously rewarded. The cabbage salad and the collard greens... melt are two of the most unique menu items but both have a big pay out in flavor. You will not be disappointed. The only dish Iwasn?t fond of was the gumbo sandwich but I took the chicken and put it on top of the salad!! At this point, we?ve tried almosteverything on the menu except the bologna because we are waiting for it to restock. Food so good that our first time wasSaturday and we were back today! Read more
