Reviews for The Rusty Nail in New Orleans, LA
Definition of a hidden gem, especially for whiskey lovers. Amazing selection and the prices are incredible, but like the least... snobby or pretentious bar ever. It will be hard not to indulge given their selection and affordability. Read more
Great bar with a great atmosphere. On Tuesday is trivia which is always fun.
Love this place. Cozy and off the beaten path but very friendly. Great selection and good prices.
This is my new favorite dive bar. The service is great. They have a wide selection of whiskey's and bourbons for very... reasonable prices. It is dark and even when crowded not too loud. They have no touch services from the restaurant next door andthe food is better than average bar cuisine. Read more
We visited for the first time because there was a fundraising crawfish boil happening. We enjoyed ourselves and the drink prices... were really good. When we got there Friday evening around 7 it wasn't too crowded and we got a great seat inside so we could seea tv and watch a basketball game. But as it got later, and closer to the Pelican game starting, at 9 it definitely got morecrowded. The staff wasn't super friendly, but they were busy, so that was to be expected. The place was clean and overall had acool vibe. While they don't actually serve food there, I noticed that you could order food from a nearby joint on your phone andthey'd deliver it right to your table, so that is a really cool option, and neat collaboration between the two businesses. I'lldefinitely go back and hang out another night and give this place another try. Read more
Great bar with plenty of room and a great vibe, especially during college football and other such events. Customer service is... unbeatable, would recommend getting drunk there any time. Hell, I'd argue you could even have fun sober. Read more
Rusty Nail has changed a lot from when we first started visiting there. It is no longer a casual hangout with that "upscale dive... bar" vibe to it. The secluded courtyard that was quaint and quiet is no longer there. That is all under new construction. Itprobably had to change due to changing clientele. It had definitely taken on a bougie vibe to it -- fancy oyster bar in themaking and all. It went from no frills to frills in the time span of a year. We'll probably still visit, the inside hasremained the same and hopefully will not change. All in all, it has an excellent selection of whiskeys and mixed drinks! Read more
