Ok this was some good catfish, shrimp, and French fries, my hush puppies were a little dry, but still had a good flavor. Very... good meal, my server was a little distracted, I asked twice for extra napkins. Usually when your server sees you when they walkby they think of what you have asked for and go get it?well not this time. I would dine here again though simply because thefood was good and I know service can always be better. Excellent, friendly service here! The shrimp and grits I had was definitely worth trying but I did try superior versions... elsewhere in New Orleans. One note is that you cannot split bills between party members, which is useful to know before you go!It?s also good to be prepared for very seafood-heavy flavors, which could be a positive or a negative depending on what youlike! Came here for my husband's birthday dinner with family, we waited a bit but not a crazy amount of time. The service was good,... the server did disappear towards the end for a bit and one of my drinks was not good but everything else was delicious! The foodwas super fresh and it had good amount of flavors. The place is spacious with plenty of seat and good AC! Read more
While this is a famous restaurant located a few steps away from Jackson Square we were very impressed from the moment we walked... in. Our food was absolutely to die for. As we are not big seafood fans we did not try the crawfish looked and smelled out ofthis world. I can confirm that their Jambalaya is one of the greatest tastes I have ever experienced. Staff were friendly andthere was a busy upbeat and electric atmosphere. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I felt the prices were slightlyhigh versus the portion size but in truth we probably should have just ordered more wonderful creole cuisine. Went here with my wife and had a very nice lunch. Our server was great. The food was very good. We started off with Fried... Green Tomatoes. I had never had them before, I loved them. They were excellent! My wife had the fried shrimp platter, and itwas good as well. I had the blackened catfish. The seasonings and flavor were terrific.
