The food was delicious and the location is beautiful. Highly recommend the eggs in purgatory and the pastries and coffee are... good too. There was a wide variety of cocktails at brunch. Read more

Aesthetically speaking, The Elysian Bar makes you feel like you are stepping back in time, and I liked that about it. The... ambiance of the different rooms give it a nostalgic charm. Now to the point of why you are reading this review - The Food. Themenu is very limited, and the portions other than the gnocchi (which was great by the way) were very small. We started with theheirloom tomato appetizer and brioche bread which were delicious. The tile fish was pretty good, but the snapper crudo entreeseemed more like an appetizer. For desert we had the goat milk panna cotta. It was worth trying, but we all agreed we wouldn'tget it again since it tasted like soap. Now onto the drinks - My two friends ordered cocktails which created a few issues amongthe waiters on getting them right. Many ingredients were not available - which is understandable in our current economicclimate - so I won't fault them for that. The problem was, if it wasn't wine, it took 20-30 minutes for the waiter to bring acocktail. We all agreed we would definitely come back, because we liked the way the restaurant made us feel. But next time wewill likely go for Brunch instead of Dinner. Read more

An amazing locale that is outside of the French Quarter with amazing decor, food, and vibes. I would hands down visit again. I... love every room and it’s unique design. The room to the right with blue and white decor and custom mural on the ceiling wasstunning and coordinated with my blue dress on my first visit. Raphael was our server and he was amazing. He helped explain menuitems and narrow down my choices even at the end of his shift. I thoroughly recommend the drink Dim the Lights. It was myfavorite. Get the dessert GOAT MILK PANNA COTTA, it was the right choice for a hot summer day. Stunning experience all around. Read more

The Elysian Bar checks all the boxes. The food is fantastic. The cocktail program is creative. The space is beautiful and... charming. The service was very friendly. We went for Brunch on this visit and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Little GemSalad and the Roasted Gulf Shrimp. The Salad was simple and fresh, with the lettuces were crisp and delicious. The Roasted GulfShrimp were large with head and tail still on, roasted in a cast iron skillet of Calabrian chili butter. The spice cut throughthe richness of the butter. The grilled bread was a delicious tool to soak up the spiced butter. The Bloody Mary was topnotch. I can’t wait to go back and try their dinner menu. Read more

Lovely old church, rectory and school. Saint's Peter and Paul. Now converted to a Hotel, restaurant, ice cream parlor and bar.... Oh and the church is an event venue. Food was good, Sunday Brunch. Staff was efficient and allowed us to tour the Church alongwith taking pictures of the lobby. Read more
