If you?re looking for a place to catch a game while in NOLA - this is the place. The staff could not be more welcoming, and the... owner is a true gem doing amazing things for the city. I was able to watch my son?s championship game (which of course was inthe middle of a long-planned vacation!) so really, they can do anything. Cold drinks, delicious nachos, and awesome people. We love this bar. Great place to watch a game. We were there to see the Vikings play the Saints. Jimmy is great and so is the... rest of the staff. I just can't remember their names. There are great TVs above the bar and plenty of seats. We had eggsandwiches and they were tasty. It was great because they opened at 8 for the game. We will be back next time we are in Nola. My husband and I had a great afternoon watching the Vikings game at the American Sports Saloon Sunday!! We?ve never been in a... facility to watch sports with more TV screens than they have! Room for everyone!! Even on balconies with a private screen foryour game! Service was pleasant and accommodating even though they were swamped due to the Saints game at the same time! We went here for the NHL playoffs. It's not easy to find a bar to watch hockey in NOLA. What a great place this was! Not only... was almost every TV on the game, but the sound was up and the place was filled with hockey fans enjoying the game! Although wewere a bit outnumbered by the Ranger fans, it was still a super fun & friendly atmosphere! Kelly behind the bar was superfriendly, attentive & outstanding! The food was better than expected. Not a giant menu. Not a ton of selections of IPAs. However sitting outside on a Monday night... game was awesome. We each had our own TV. Read more
More of a dive bar feel, but they have great frozen drinks. Some in our party found them to be a tad too sweet. The bartender... was extremely friendly, especially considering I spilled my drink all over myself. They have TVs with the sports game going. Ididn?t try their food at all. Where to begin.... Well the beginning would be good to start. Walking in it seems like a decent place to eat and cool off for a... bit it. Well, turns out we were wrong. Our first greeting from the bartender who came to take our order didn't know thespecials, drinks, or what beer were on tap. The menu is scattered and we got two different menus with only a few things off fromone another. There were a total of 5 people in our party. Drinks Two of us ordered their Frozen Cherry Limeade (which camepure alcohol. Some may think that is a plus, but I in particular wasn't looking to drink straight alcohol). One of us orderedStella on tap which turned out to be nice and cold, but also flat. With additional drinks we ordered Cokes which started outgreat, but eventually turned flat as the refills kept coming. Food In the group we ordered - The Club w/o mayo - Buffalo Wings(with side order of mac and cheese) - Chicken Tenders - Tacos (Taco Tuesday)(Comes with three tacos) - AmericanCheeseburger The food took a good bit of time to come out. All food items were brought out one by one slowly to the point eachperson was finishing their meal before another came out. First out for one meal were the wings which were actually pretty good,but a few did appear to be under cooked (which explained the weird taste for two or three of them) and no mac and cheese. By thetime one finished his wing meal the tacos came out. The meat was dry (the little there was) with little to no flavor and full ofmostly veggies. Next up came the Club sandwich (with mayo on it, even though we were told mayo doesn't come on it). Afterwordscame the burger and chicken tenders together surprisingly enough. The tenders were good with nice breading. Coming to my burgerthe top bun was extra chard and missing the american cheese I asked for, but given we waited this long I wasn't going to messaround and send anything back in fear we could be sitting here even longer. What an awesome sports pub, especially with the world cup going on. I could sit at the bar, drink really good beer and watch all... games simultainiously. Had french fries and a pretzel, both tasty. Unfortionatly a Chelsea fan bar ;) but they have a Liverpoolscarf as well. Read more
