Amazingly good vegan food here. Had the orange cauliflower shepherd?s pie and veggie fried rice. Others had jambalaya and Mac N... Cheese. All of it was really delicious and well spiced. A one item main dish would have been plenty (I got two) Food is servedcafeteria style in to go dishes that seal well to take home. Casual dining and friendly service. Also very clean. Closes at 5so get there early. Next time I?ll get it to go and eat at home. No alcohol served if that?s an issue. Read more

Wish I lived here just for this spot ? I?d definitely be a regular!! The flavor, portions, and price just can?t be beat!! Plus... the staff were so sweet. I?m gluten free, and my favorites were the mushrooms and gravy, collards, and potato salad. My sisterloved the jambalaya, okra gumbo, and cornbread. And you MUST get the sweet potatoes and a scoop of ice cream while you?rethere!! Read more

Just amazing!! Very delicious soul food, and 100% vegan. The atmosphere was so welcoming here. We loved the fried cauliflower... and cashew Mac and cheese. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back. Read more

Just because we're vegan doesn't mean we don't love food, and NOLA is known for food that truly hits the spot! "Sweet Soulfood"... is delicious and oh-so-satisfying! Large portions and quick service - friendly too! I love that they change out their menudaily, so you're always guaranteed something different. We went on a Thursday and had their Cashew Mac 'n' Cheese, OrangeCauliflower (fried and super crispy!), Stuffed Bell Peppers, Sweet Potato Casserole, Jambalaya, Okra Gumbo, and Corn Bread. #PlantBasedSoulFood #VeganForAllLife ???????????? This place is amazing! I was scared that being vegan would cause me to miss out on all the amazing NOLA flavours. The best item... on the menu is definitely the fried cauliflower, a must-try! A very cozy place with complex flavours and low prices. Read more

Yes! Yes! Yes! Everything NOLA vegan addition! Red beans and rice were EXCELLENT! Bread pudding with rum sauce is a must! ... The restaurant was clean, the server described every dish before we were forced to choose.. I wish we could have eaten it all! Jambalaya, gumbo, greens, sweet potatoes, dressing, you name it! They also have fresh juices. Food was served very neatly. Eat in or take out is easy. Served cafeteria style but food was hot and fresh! We will definitely be back! Read more

I stopped by Sweet Soulfood for lunch. I was impressed with the wide variety of options and very reasonable pricing. I... selected the Pick Four so I could try several things. I ordered the Cajun Curry, the Jambalaya, Mac & Cheese, and BreadPudding. The Mac & Cheese was too sweet and not savory enough for my taste (I suppose there's a reason why this business iscalled "Sweet" Soulfood :) ), but everything else was delicious! I hadn't ever tried Bread Pudding before, and I really enjoyedit! Read more
