Reviews for Shaya in New Orleans, LA
I was pleasantly surprised that Shaya lived up to the hype. Five stars. The fried chicken hummus is a must. Wait and order... after this is finished. It was a perfect balance of savory and sweet on their amazing bread. If you only come for drinks and anappetizer then order this and be happy. A table favorite. The lamb was good. Tender and perfectly cooked. The flavor was mildand side salad was enough for us to both share. Cinnamon babka was yummy, but I might try another entree and dessert nexttime. Service was excellent. The hype behind this food is well-deserved. The fresh baked pita is fluffy and pillowy and probably the best I’ve ever had.... The Fried. Chicken. Hummus- get it! It’s sweet, the chicken is crunchy and the humus creamy- so satisfying. Read more
Great spot! It’s tough to get a reservation but you can easily walk up for happy hour, plus this is the best time to go. Half... off glasses of wine and half off hummus until 6. Otherwise I think the hummus prices would’ve been pretty steep. Babaganoushwas also amazing! Read more
Shaya elevates Middle eastern food to a new level. The pita bread is outstanding and melts in the mouth. We tried several of the... small plates (fried chicken hummus, moussaka, falafel). For dessert we tried the labneh cheesecake and it did not disappoint. Donot miss this on your trip to NOLA. Highly recommend making a reservation. Read more

Shaya is just top a tier dining experience, world class food and drinks with excellent service. Love the Israeli inspired menu... and all of the Salatims - especially the heirloom tomatoes in whipped garlic!! The Ikra with whipped cream cheese and anchovyspread, shallots and dill is a close second of mine which is served with their fresh pita bread, which itself is amazing. Thedining experience is elevated with their awesome service and good attention to detail. Also, they craft their cocktails well.Shaya is a 5-star experience in New Orleans!! Read more
