Reviews for Sarita's Grill in New Orleans, LA
The quesadillas are good, and the price is cheaper than many other restaurants in the neighborhood, but the Cuban sandwich... leaves much to be desired. It was flat and dry, I found it lacking in flavor Read more
The place is small, but charming. Beautiful art on the walls which makes for nice atmosphere and entertainment. Their empanadas... app is absolutely delicious- the meat is juicy and tasty ????. Fish tacos listed as flounder, but the fish did not taste likeflounder to me , however they were not bad. Place is family friendly, service was great. I Would come back. Read more
Great food place for veggies oh, the people, not the food! Lots of options, right on the menu, and one thing that I like is that... the vegetarian options are cheaper than the meat options, so you're not paying for me and just leaving it off. Kudos! Read more
Whereas some places serve complementary chips and salsa, Sarita's immediately won me over with queso! The Mexi bowl was large,... delicious, full of fresh flavors and the BEST char-grilled chicken. The staff was lovely and the prices super affordable. Read more

Going to Sarita's was a very last minute decision. My hotel mate was napping and I didn't feel like hanging around the room, so... I walked to Freret, scoped out places, I hadn't been and walked into Sarita's to see the place was packed since it was a Fridayevening. I really didn't want to hang out in the doorway waiting for a table for one, so I opted for a Cuban Sandwich and YucaFrita to go. I was told it would take 15 minutes, but my order was ready when I returned, after a pleasant walk, in less timethan that. I can't speak for their full service, but Sara, the server taking to go orders, was very polite and efficient. Roomiewas awake when I returned and we both enjoyed the Cuban and fries. It wasn't the most memorable meal of the trip, but it wassimple food, prepared well. Read more
Nice place on Freret. Kinda small. Homey feel. The cooking is done on a grill by the tables. It's no pressure and good, polite... service. THE FOOD: You get chips and queso dip to start, tasty! I added Sriracha for a little more flavor and heat. Btw, thereis only Sriracha and one other hot sauce on the tables. I ordered the Super Bowl, but as a burrito (Not a bowl). It's not afried tortilla bowl either, it's just a bowl. It's chopped ribeye, and grilled chicken with black beans, guacamole, grilledonions, cheese, sour cream, yellow rice, tomatoes, and lettuce. Very tasty, flavorful, delicious! You can taste the char fromthe grill, and the chicken is done just right, not dried or overcooked. It's a big burrito, too..so make sure you're hungry. Ihad a small guacamole also. It's just ok. Not much flavor beyond avocado and lime. It's great for a quick lunch, I was in andout in about 35 mins as a sit down. All the employees are great, and it was under 20 bucks with a can of pop. Read more
