Nice neighborhood feel, friendly staff. Portion sizes are huge, good value. The place is a bit dirty, especially the bathroom.... Kitchen staff seems to actually be Japanese so that's a plus. Read more
Now, we're Sushi lovers from way back, so... The food was really good, the service... not so much but I guess everyone's... entitled to a slack day from time to time. To his credit, I think our server was the only server working. We will definitelybe back because the Sushi was excellent. We had a California, a Smoked Salmon and Avacado, a Philly, a Crunch, and both of ourleast favorite a Veggie roll. Don't get the Veggie roll, you'll likely regret it. My wife also got a small Sake, she said itwas OK, good (and hot) but nothing to rave about. All in all, 5 rolls was the perfect amount of food for us, we were full butnot stuffed after finishing. And the price was very good, 5 rolls and a small Sake and 2 iced Teas (they have Pepsi and we'reCoke folks) only cost us $40.00. We certainly recommend Sake Cafe Elmwood if you want really good Sushi and I'm sure anythingelse from their extensive menu. Read more
Food was pretty good but the service was awful. Asked for sweet tea, only told they had unsweet which was fine but asked if they... had coke. She rudely replied ?Pepsi products only? and I was taken aback a bit by her tone. After we ordered our drinks, sheimmediately started pressing us for what we wanted to order. After her second time stopping at the table, we ordered and she wasasking if that?s all that we would get. Before we were finished, she began picking up plates that still had food we had yet totouch. Always delightful. We enjoy trying different items from the menu. I would definitely suggest the peppered tuna, squid steak,... and the ???? salad. The ???? and sashimi selection is pretty good too. Read more
Unagi is good but not the best. Lots of bone pieces and I don?t experience that at other sushi spots. The rolls were flavorful... and lots of options to choose from. Rice was soft and I will return for the eel avocado roll. Read more
Good food, quick service. Pretty tuna today. No uni though ????. Great lunch specials. 2 can fill up for $20 plus tip. They have... tables and booths but you can also sit at the sushi bar. I had the sushi roll lunch and it comes with 2 rolls and soup or smallgarden salad. The Asian crispy chicken is good too- comes with steamed broccoli and fried rice. Read more
I ordered the asparagus roll and smoked salmon roll. Salmon was decent. Asparagus was flavorless. Pepsi products and no sweet... tea. Went right after lunch hour ended and was still pretty cheap. Read more
