Reviews for Ruby Slipper Cafe in New Orleans, LA
Definitely check in online before your commute to the restaurant, it?s really busy but well worth it. The kitchen was quick and... the food tasted super yummy. I got the peaches and cream French toast and my husband got the fried chicken and French toaststicks. Both were great. The iced French truck vanilla coffee become my favorite coffee! This isn?t the best spot for a largegroup (>4) as the wait to be seated will be longer. Read more

I visited on a Wednesday around 11am. My party of 2 waited about 10 minutes before we were seated inside. I am a big fan of... pancakes so I ordered a stack of buttermilk pancakes which came with bacon and I added potatoes to my order. The pancakes werehuge, fluffy, buttery, and sooooo delicious. Due to the size of the pancakes I was only able to eat 1 1/2. I also ordered theseasonal mimosa flight which came with 4 different flavored mimosas. I do not remember what each flavor was but I do rememberthey were all good and not at all watered down. Loved it here. Read more
One of the best breakfasts that I?ve ever had. The food was delicious, and the service was incredible. We were seated outside,... and when it started raining our server went out of her way to try to find place for us inside. The food also came relativelyquickly. The staff working here were also all wonderful and very funny. Make sure to book a table ahead of time because thisplace gets very busy! You can do this by joining the wait list on their website before you head over there. We did this andwe?re seated right when we arrived at our allotted time slot. Read more
Get there early!! The line starts growing quickly and stays long all day. Great service and they are pretty quick. I ordered the... biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs (and a fried green tomato) and the hubby got the sweet & spicy chicken and French toast. We boththought our dishes were great! The French toast was cut up into bite sized pieces before it was deep-fried - and it was on thereally really toasty side. The sausage gravy I had on my biscuits was delicious with big chunks of sausage, but I could of donewith twice the amount of gravy. All in all, I'd go back... But I might not stand in line for an hour for it. Read more
Went here for brunch the day we were leaving for home. Should have visited our first day in town because I would have eaten here... more than once. Everything my family had was spectacular. Some of the best biscuits I've ever had. Beyond that, the staff wasone of the most friendly bunch of people ever. Will DEFINITELY return. Read more
Food was great. The biscuits are huge. I will say the biscuits and gravy needs more gravy for the size of the biscuits. We also... got the seasonal mimosa flight and enjoyed it. We joined the waitlist before arriving and it said 35-50 minutes. It took 15minutes to walk there and when we arrived the hostess said 30 minutes, we waited 7 and then we were seated. My boys got abirthday song as well! Great place! Read more
