Reviews for Ruby Slipper Cafe in New Orleans, LA
Seasonal Beignets are a must-have! The trifecta was a good mix. Sweet heat chicken and french toast bites was truly delicious!... Not a single complaint. Ample seating indoors and some outdoors. We had 3 servers who made sure we had a fantastic time andtreated us as if we were regulars. One thing we were a huge fan of atmosphere wise is that it wasn't like a stereotypical brunchplace in the fact that you can't hear the people you're sitting next to with music blaring, etc. It was comfortable and a trulyenjoyable experience. Never disappoint as many many many times as I have been here. The basic 2 egg breakfast is nothing but basic, with their... delicious bacon and fried green tomato. I get a side of gravy with it to smother the biscuit. Heaven. All the dishes aregenerous enough to split, maybe by adding a side. The French toast bites are perfect to share with the table. Don't forget theBellinis and bloody Marys. I would so eat here for dinner too if they were open. Service is also always on point. Read more

Service was great and friendly hence the 4 stars. Got there around noon on a Friday so no wait for a table. The flight of... mimosas as a bit meh so I would pass on that. As for the shrimp and grits and the sliders - they were both tasty but nothing towrite home about. I guess if you stick to their signatures you should good Read more

Food: The food tasted and looked amazing. If you like biscuits and gravy like me, please try them! They give you two fist sized... biscuits, 2 eggs, 2 strips of crunchy bacon, and I added the fried chickens heat style. You won?t regret it. We got French toastbites to share, and I let it sit in my mouth. It was heaven. Everything was scrumptious! Service: I went in a group of 4 ataround 9:30am on a Wednesday, and there was no wait time. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering and the staff was sosweet!! I, unfortunately found a hair in one of my biscuits, but I told my waitress about and got me another plate. They werevery sweet and attentive and would highly recommend! Cleanliness: overall, good cleanliness. I didn?t find anything to beunacceptable Read more
First off the food is AMAZING. I can?t emphasize that anymore than just AMAZING and delicious. Not only was the food awesome... but the waitstaff treated me like family. I felt like I was at a local diner that knew me my whole life. It?s really the bestexample of southern hospitality I have ever experienced. The owner Charlie remembered us the second day we came in and made surewe got a table quickly even though the wait wasn?t even 5 minutes. The three days I was here I ate here everyday and avoidedcrowds in the quarter. It was the best decision I made. I miss the food and when I get back I will be eating here at thislocation! MAKE SURE TO TRY THIS ONCE WHILE IN TOWN. I wish I took more pictures of the food for everyone to see. Read more
We went here for brunch because our tour guide suggested going to this location because it was less busier. We ordered coffee,... the mimosas flight, French toast, and the southern breakfast. I liked the French toast, solid 4/5 but the winner for that wasthe syrup. I love that it?s not sticky super sweet. It goes perfect with the brioche French toast with the tangy strawberries. My partner wasn?t a huge fan of the southern breakfast but she loved the friend green tomato that came with it. To quote ?secondto the one my great grandma made? which is VERY high praise. The mimosa flight was okay, I liked two of the drinks and theother two were blah. Overall, would go again for brunch.
