Reviews for Rosalita's Backyard Tacos ???? in New Orleans, LA

What is missing here? Flavor. I had the carne asada tacos, both the tortilla and meat were dry. No cilantro. The meat was... unseasoned. I am very disappointed especially since a lot of people recommended this place. I have concluded the draw in forpeople is the price point, but makes no sense to me since other Mexican restaurants in New Orleans have similar price points andhigher quality tacos. My partner had three different tacos: the lengua, brisket, and carne asada, all of which somehow tastedthe same. The lengua taco was best out of the three. The house sauces was something I thought would maybe save the tacos, sincethey have a wide variety. Unfortunately, did not make too much of a difference for me. I could not finish the rest of mymeal. The patio area is nice though as well as the beautiful mural in the front area inside Rosalita?s. The sky blue patiofurniture and outdoor setting felt comfortable. The servers were welcoming and friendly. Other than that the positive experienceends there. I really wanted it to be good, but it just didn?t hit the marks for me as a Mexican guest. The backyard was nice, and i can see it being a whole vibe on a summer night or even a rainy day. But like many other taco spots... in the city the effort is focused on the apperance and general feel while the food and drinks are left to be completelyutilitarian with no creativity spared to make anything memorable. The tacos are def priced high. The salsa bar does get somelove with the variety but overall my quest for a taco place I would feel compelled to return to is ongoing. Read more

Delicious tacos and a unique setup. You order at the counter, get your sauces and step out back to the backyard patio and... they'll deliver your food. Our empanada was a little soggy, but all the tacos were fantastic. I would definitely eat here again. Read more
