Server was wonderful and did a great job choosing for us on some items. Food was phenomenal. All four of us had a great time... trying things from each other's plates. The bread with the tallow candle was delicious. Read more

We loved this place when it was an amazing butcher shop, but it got even better after they changed to a full time restaurant.... Piece of Meat just took over as the best steakhouse in town with perfectly cooked steaks, ridiculous sides, strong cocktails, fun chefs you can have a conversation with while they cook the cow that's about to enter your mouth and Dion from Trinidadcatering to all your needs at the bar. This place is worth trying to find parking in the neighborhood for. Read more

Piece of Meat recently made the transition from neighbourhood butcher/sandwich shop to neighbourhood steak house. As expected... our dinner was incredible and unmatched by any other steak in town. The flawless execution of a perfectly grilled steak with aside car of sea salt was paired with the best baked potato I’ve ever eaten. Their straight forward menu and simple Cocktailand wine list will satisfy your sommelier friend and Guy Fieri Wannabe Buddy alike. I can’t wait to go back. Read more

Looking for the Piece of Meat from diners drive in and dives? It is not here during dinner service. They try to turn a deli into... a fine dining restaurant after putting themselves out there on the National stage as a down home eatery. We spent money on asteak that they had the nerve to add salt to the side of which speaks to their inability to season . The steak was cookedcorrectly and the potatoes was decent but coming into a butcher I found that they do not even sell meat anymore. We were highlydisappointed from our expectations, as DDD eatery’s usually meet and exceed what we are looking for. Come during the weekendwhen they supposedly still have what made them famous and save yourself a trip going for dinner. Read more

Delicious house made bread. The best steak tartar I've had in along time. The prime ribeye for two was epic, savory, beautifully... crusted, just awesome. Thoughtful wine list, great for a steak house. Delicious ice cream pie. Read more

This has been a restaurant on my list to try for years but had never visited New Orleans. Wife and I are here for a long weekend... and it was one of our first stops. We split a charcuterie board, got a Hot Rye and a Fried Bologna sandwich — both sandwicheswere incredible. Probably the best Pastrami sandwich I have ever eaten in my life; the fried bologna on the sandwich was atexture of fried bologna I have never seen, more along the lines of thick crispy bacon than bologna and was obviously a bolognaeither made in house or made for them. The flavor was unlike any bologna I have ever eaten. My favorite meats though were thePattee and Head Cheeses on the charcuterie board; absolutely incredible flavors and textures. I can’t speak highly enough ofthe staff. Everyone was extremely courteous and very willing to answer all the questions I had and provide recommendations. Itwas obvious everyone there truly cared about the food they were putting out and wanted to make it an experience for everycustomer that came in. Read more

We had an ok experience having lunch here. The place is cozy but sort of small on the inside while outside was full of annoying... flies. The sandwiches were hit and miss. The french dip and brisket were good while the pastrami one not very good. In additionthey didn’t have ribs. The egg appetiser was quite good. They have a choice of sides. I took the coleslaw which was ok butalso super small. Read more
