Reviews for Picnic Provisions & Whiskey in New Orleans, LA
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here for about 40 people. It was the best location for our guests. Monica was so helpful in... setting this up and creating a relaxing event the night before our wedding. The food and drinks were so amazing that many of ourfriends and family are planning to go back! We highly recommend Picnic Provisions for either a small event or to just dining in. Read more

Great vibe, great food! Seems like a mix of traditional creole flavors with more American modern fusion. Awesome outdoor... seating, great service. Best potato salad of my life! Read more
My fiancé and I visited Picnic and honestly loved the atmosphere. I considered getting a picnic before but wanted to try the... food so we both went. The street corn was amazing but past that the experience was very poor and the food just wasn?t up to par. Also really disappointed I had to pay for a can of Sprite. Please get your own soda dispenser? We ordered the crab dip which wasjust literally crab dip from a plastic container probably. Underwhelming, and my fiancé ordered some sort of chicken salad andfor the first time in her life she could only take one bite of it. The Salad itself felt like it was overloaded with vinegar orsomething. It just tasted foul. I ordered the pulled pork po boy and also for the first time in my life I couldn?t take morethan one bite. It was overly spicy and the same vinegar taste was in it. It was just an overall terrible experience food wise.Just completely felt like we wasted $60 and threw away money here. I don?t mean to bad mouth the food so much but it just wasnot pleasant at all. Either put some more details in what is in your food or something because this was not what we wereexpecting at all. Great spot located on the beautiful Magazine St. The service was outstanding and everyone enjoyed the food in my party except... for the coleslaw. The hot chicken thigh sandwich was excellent. The happy hour mojito is a great drink on a hot summer day. Read more

I usually don?t review restaurants but something drove me and my partner to both review this place and it?s this AMAZING food.... We ordered the picnic basket of 8 pieces of hot fried chicken thighs with 2 sides and 4 biscuits ?for 2? and it was bothdelicious and MORE THAN generous in portions. The first bite of that freshly oven baked biscuit was like fireworks. On top ofthat, we came during their very late happy hour window (until 7pm) and whiskey drinks were ridiculously cheap PLUS friendliestwaiters. All in all, a great meal in a great environment at great prices with leftovers for next day. My partner and I weresurprised that not more people were inside enjoying this gem of a place. I really wish my hometown had a place like this. Pleasesupport this place during this hard time! Read more
