I?m so glad I stumbled upon this little local gem for a quick breakfast after a workout! The owner immediately greeted me and... was so warm and welcoming. The iced coffee was delicious, and the avocado toast was fresh and satisfying. Absolutely delicious! We both got the turkey paninis, and mentioned to the cashier that we had recently moved into the... neighborhood. We had a great conversation, got great recommendations for things to check out in the neighborhood. The employeesare so kind, we really enjoyed the Nutella crepe! I hardly write reviews but the food and service at Pepperoni's Cafe was so AMAZING I just couldn't help myself! The mango juice... is out of this world (try the the mango mimosas!) and the Nutella crepes (with ice cream inside) were heavenly! I've lived inFrance and I kid you not...the crepes at Pepperoni's were better than most of the crepes there. Not only was the foodtop-notch, but the service was so lovely! Everyone was nice and patient. It was especially refreshing to have that kind ofdine-in experience in a post-pandemic era. They made me feel comfortable. Eating at Pepperoni's is the FIRST thing on myitinerary when I come back to New Orleans. 100/10 would recommend!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I most definitelywould!! Service was polite and quick. However the food is BLAND. I had the New Orleans omelette w/grits and my wife had the breakfast... wrap. Both were greatly underseasoned and omelette smelled very fishy if you know what I mean. My "grits" look and taste likewarm milk and that's a bad sign right there. Like I said, the ppl seem nice and were very polite but this meal was disappointingconsidering the price and the other reviews. I did have the mango juice which at least tasted fresh and was good. Absolutely delicious! We were treated with very pleasant service and great food. My girlfriend says that the watermelon juice is... "life changing". The fruit was fresh and the bacon was cooked to perfection. I would definitely plan on coming back next timeI'm in the area. Read more
This is a great little breakfast place. I highly recommend the grits bowl.
