If I could give this ten stars, I would. My boyfriend was in the mood for Italian last night and I wasn?t. One of his coworkers... suggested Paladar 511, so we went. Everything we had was amazing - Squid Ink Pasta and Cornbread Brioche to start, PorkSaltimbocca and Wagyu Hangar Steak with extra potatoes for entrees. Excuse my terrible pictures, but the pizza and squid ink noodles were delicious! To tell you the truth, I ate both the next day... and they were still really good! The location is out of the way if you are coming from the French Quarter... That being said, ifyou are nearby, this place is worth trying. I wouldn't travel out of the way for it though. Read more
This restaurant is hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The atmosphere is great, staff is very friendly... and accommodating. The food is made with fresh ingredients and the taste is perfection!!! The pizza taste so authentic, the redsnapper was seasoned perfectly. Everything was great. This was the best meal of our trip overall. Ideal place for a group to share, if you're good with sharing even large plates.... Everything was spectacular. We got 3 small plates, a pizza, and two large plates. That amount was perfect for 4 adults where weweren't hungry and felt very satisfied. Definitely will recommend to anyone else visiting the city. Creative dishes done fantastically well!! This was a great dining experience. Every dish was phenomenal. Definitely try the... squid ink pasta and dessert! It's well worth it if you are into craft drinks, unique dishes, and a laid-back/hip atmosphere. Ireally enjoyed that the food was mind blowing but the vibe wasn't up tight. Enjoy ???? Read more
We had a fantastic meal! The dishes are so creative and delicious. Highly recommend the local lettuces with pink goddess... dressing. That dressing just had us saying Wow! The service was flawless. We enjoyed sitting upstairs with a view of everythingdown below. Read more
heard really great things about this place. i decided to stop by to have dinner at the bar by myself after taking exams. the... service was good overall, but it took a very long time for the waiter to come and acknowledge me at the bar. because i wassitting at the kitchen bar, i wasn?t sure how the service worked?would they serve me at the bar or a waiter? I asked thehostesses and she said a waiter would come, but the hostess ended up going through the menu with me and making suggestions. shealso gave me water. eventually, the waiter came (maybe about 25min after me sitting) and it was fine.. the food was prettyfilling. i enjoyed the different flavors they used and the presentation of the food. Someone recommended this restaurant to us and we went out of our way to have brunch there - what a gem!!!! Excellent brunch... dishes with interesting combinations and flavors. Possibly the best crab Benedict and best breakfast potatoes ever. Nice servicetoo. Read more
