My friends and I came for the bottomless bunch. We started with the mimosas, which are served like bottle service freeing up the... wait staff, maybe a little too free because our waitress disappeared. We ordered a round of margaritas from the bottomlessbrunch deal when our food came out. Then again we didn't see her until she asked if we wanted dessert. I wasn't getting dessertbut I would get another margarita and friends could enjoyed the dessert. There were no dairy free options so alcohol was forme. When we got the bill there was the bottomless brunch charge and then a separate charge for my second margarita ($13bucks).When I asked the waitress why there was a second charge for the margarita she said at the bottomless brunch time was overwhen I ordered it. When I asked why she didn't tell me that at the time she just shrugged. Honestly there were other drinks ontheir menu that I would have tried, they have a frozen gin and tonic that sounds amazing and if I was going to pay for somethingoutside of the bottomless brunch I would have gotten another drink on the menu if that option would have been provided to me. Itseems like they might be trying to run out the clock by not being available with the bottomless brunch, as the restaurant wasnot busy. She did apologize and give us free drink tickets for next time but since we don't live in the area wasn't veryhelpful. The food that was okay I got the avocado toast which was a bit salty but if you pair it with the green chorizo it's areally filling delicious dish. I wanted the breakfast burrito but have a dairy restriction and it included cheese even thoughit's not listed on the menu when I asked our waitress she said that the cheese was mixed into the burrito and couldn't beremoved so I'm guessing the burrito comes frozen... Seriously one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in NOLA. I came around 4:00pm (right when they open) because we... were going to eat and head to a concert. We were the only table that was in the restaurant, yet we were never checked on, we hadto ask for our waters to be filled, and wave down the waitress for anything. I got the steak tacos, and the steak was extremelyover cooked. The guacamole and salsa were okay, pretty good but nothing mind blowing. We asked for the check and had to wait agood chunk of time before it even came. But the MAIN kicker is that we were overcharged for EVERYTHING. The guacamole was listedas $13 on the menu, and we were charged $17. We were also charged for extra chips, which is fair I guess. caught it before wepaid luckily. But after we had left, I checked the receipt and she had over charged us for all the tacos. The steak tacos werelisted as $13 on the menu, and we were charged $15. We got multiple orders so we didn’t notice at first. The We were charged$14 for the fish tacos that were listed as $12 on the menu. I know it seems like a few dollars but we got 6 orders of tacos, soit adds up. Not only that, it’s really the principle of things. When I brought up the overcharged guacamole the waitress hadthe nerve to have an attitude with me like I couldn’t read the price on the menu. Seriously, worst service I have everexperienced. And, they seriously try to scam you out of money. I’m usually a trusting patron but luckily this time because thebill was being split I read over the receipt. Never returning. EDIT: I called and was able to get a refund, but still, thisplace is not worth visiting. The food is mediocre especially when you’re dealing with terrible service, and the risk beingscammed. I loved this meal, the food was awesome! The restaurant did seem a bit short staffed for a Saturday morning, as there was only... one server, bartender, and host when we arrived at 11:45. The service was amazing despite those challenges. We ordered theFrench press coffee, a Jardin, Carnitas tacos, and the fish tacos. The coffee was ok, I really wish they would've had the coldbrew available for anything but the mixed drinks. I love that they offer almond milk with the French press though! The Jardinwas a fresh cocktail that tasted wonderful. The carnitas tacos were stuffed and amazing. I made a bit of a mess, the sauce waseverywhere, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. The fish tacos were definitely lacking in pizzazz and I wish they would'vehad more of the salsa. The tortilla also was a little hard. I haven't had good authentic mexican food for a while, and I'm sohappy with my experience at this retaurant. I want to return to try more things for sure! Read more
This place is definitely something to try out, especially if you live in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The... drinks are fabulous! One word of caution, the chicken tacos were very SPICY so if you’re not expecting it or prepared it willcatch you off guard like it did me. I like hot food but it was out there, other than that. Everything else was fantastic, especially the service, show some love to them!!!! Read more
