Great food and atmosphere. Perfect if you want a bite away from the more tourist trap restaurants but still need something in... the French Quarter. Came here on the recommendation of a tour guide when we asked about oysters. Sadly they didn't have oysters the day we went, but... we wanted to check out a few other items on the menu. We had the gumbo, ostrich chili, and the crawfish mac and cheese.Everything was delicious! The potato salad was a nice change up from rice in the gumbo. The chili was smoky and lightly spicy.I'd highly recommend the mac and cheese - my favourite by far! I like the smaller portion sizes so we could try more individualitems, but the prices seem expensive comparatively. Read more
Went there looking for grilled oysters unfortunately they were out of them. Settled for a burger and crawfish mac & cheese. Both... were amazing. Sat in the outside patio enjoyed the open air setting. Will definitely be back to get the oysters. And a follow upfrom our original trip. Wednesday was great, went back there on Friday for the oysters. Totally enjoyed our burger on Wednesdayso decided to do it again. We ordered one River bottom burger and one good old-fashioned burger the burger we got on Wednesdaycovered the bun from edge to edge the ones we got on Friday night barely covered a quarter of the bun we ordered them rare andthey were well done. Then after an hour and a half the oysters show up they were great but unfortunately the person who platedthem needs to learn how to count we only received 10 supposed to be a dozen and the last time I checked a dozen was 12.???? I went on Tuesday evening, staff are friendly, most of people are friendly since my visit 5 days ago!! The oysters ..omg..so... fresh, delicious. Simple and yummy, people told me new Orleans oysters are earthy taste, not at all from this restaurant.Honestly, I am very picky with oysters. I had great oysters. Why only 4 stars?!? Because too expensive. LoL. Definitely comeback again if I visit this town. Read more
