Words cannot describe how good the food was during our visit to this beautiful restaurant. The building was in a wonderfully... appointed historic New Orleans home that oozed history, ambiance, and cozy hinting at the meal to come. The coctails arebeautifully crafted and are a welcome addition to appetizers. The feel of the meal is distinctive to the New Orleans and willleave you remembering your time spent with a smile of satisfaction. I cannot wait to visit again on my next trip! Read more

Sunday, July 17th 2022 If you have a chance to do one dining experience when you come to the city, the communal cajun love story... that is The Mosquito Supper Club is it. I have included photos from our personal experience. This - of course - includes thefood. It also features the cookbook I bought awhile ago by Chef Melissa M. Martin. I brought my copy in and the staff was supernice and signed it for me, including Chef! There is also a sample of the menu we had and the drink menu. I say sample becausetheir menu fluctuates depending on what local food and produce they get. A few key notes: Do the wine pairing. It was on a wholenew level and escalated the flavor profiles of the food. It is communal which was a little intimidating for me, BUT it ended upgreat! Everyone had a good time, we met some really fun people (I sat across from this lovely woman named Margaret and her wife, and a really sweet retired couple next to me). We all helped each other with the food, and talked of our other food experiencesin the city. It was still very intimate as the limit how many seats a night. There was PLENTY of food to go around for everyone. We tried our damndest to get through everything and there was just too much of it. They even let us box things up to takehome. The staff was absolutely amazing. The hostess and manager came in before they served the food to give us some backgroundon the food we would be eating, where they came from and emphasized their backgrounds. The servers were quick to help and answerquestions, the bartender was extremely knowledge when it came to not only our cocktails, but the background of the wines. Andthe food gave me some of those Ratatouille feels in the pit of my stomach that made me tear up a little. It can be somewhatintimidating using the reservation system on Tock. I didn?t have issues with it, but as this particular experience is seasonalit can be hard to find seating. The way we were able to do it is sign up for notice on the nig Read more

We had the absolute best time here. We didn?t have a reservation, but were able to sit outside and order some of the menu. The... food was outstanding- hyper local, seasonal and delicious. The drinks were so fun and creative- we eventually moved inside tothe bar when it started to rain, and Ricky is a genius and truly loves his craft. All the staff was so kind and seemed togenuinely enjoy working there. They were so accommodating, and gave us great recommendations for other places to check out inthe city as well. Great service! Can?t recommend enough! Read more

It's a different experience. Sitting and eating with strangers family style. You have to be able to play nice with others. ... Its a long dinner experience but the food was good and the staff was top notch. The group at our table was pretty young and imnot the most sociable with strangers but overall a great experience. ???????? Read more

It would have been nice if we could have gotten someone from the kitchen or waitstaff to describe to us the food about to be... served. Just a small summary of preparation, the backstory of the food, etc. We got just a description of our drinks as theycame out but that was pretty much it. My suggestions: Do not order the wine service and just order from the bar upon arrival.Food was delicious but not worth the cost when having to pass the food around to a table of 8, unless you come with a party of8. Too expensive to pay for private dining when there are so many options for that price point in New Orleans. Here is our totaltally for 2 people (not including the $15 cocktails we ordered before dinner: Mosquito Supper Club - COMMUNAL DINING ×2 $210.00 Wine Pairing $55.00 Wine Pairing $55.00 Subtotal $320.00 Service Charge (25%) (this is the tip to the waitstaff thatyou will pay with the reservation) $80.00 Taxes (9.45%) $37.80 Total $437.80 If you find the added benefit of meeting newpeople, especially if you get a table of New Orleans locals, then it?s a gem.
