Service was okay maybe the server was having an off day which happens. This place was recommended to me so I was excited but not... impressed. The potatoes were wonderful and the brussel sprouts had great flavor and I loved the slices of pepper on them. Thegumbo was not a good choice. The oysters were great. Sometimes when you get busy recommending places you find out getting one yourself is always worth it. This place is no... exception. Lovely business lunch old school interior with a nice downtown location off of canal street and has a very nice menuto boot. 1st time trying oysters and this place made me a fan from how they present it to the absolute fresh taste. Overall I would give a 4.5. Nice place in town, you can see the workers here dressing nice to give you the best experience.... However, it took forever for they come and order and bring the food to us. Fried oysters are perfect great, way more betterthan what I have in Oregon, of course cheap too! BBQ oysters are good, I don’t really like it. The bread are tasty. And …gumbo are soooo good! ????????I mean it’s what I expected to have while I’m here. Real gumbo, but it’s so salty I can’tfinish it all, wish I can have more rice or bread. The swordfish are perfect good. 100% recommended. All the food was delicious. Drinks were also on point. We had a small delay with getting a server in the beginning but they took... care of it almost instantly. Their oysters from Parish are delicious. We also ordered a Flammenkuchen and everyone enjoyed it. Itried the chicken sandwich and must say the flavor was outstanding. Interesting menu, good-not-great service, mediocre cocktails, very good food. Despite being a bit upscale in food options, it's... not snobby. All of the waitstaff we dealt with were okay, attentive, but seemed to lack experience, so some things were justclumsy (eg took our menus after we ordered drinks for some reason, and it took some effort to get them back so we could chooseentrees). Cocktails were super slow and very bland, maybe understaffed at the bar. But the food was very good - well prepared,perfect seasoning without too much salt but still lots of flavor. Food came surprisingly promptly even though they were busy.I'd go back, but hoping their staff gets more experience under their belts. Read more
I want to write a review to thank our server Mandy for her genuine hospitality. My friend and I had our last dinner in New... Orleans and we came to Luke for the Happy Hour. The food was sublime, ambience was great. This is undoubtedly above manyrestaurants in the French Quarter. What sets this place apart from many of our other experiences was Mandy’s hospitality. Shewas genuinely nice and she shared with us her personal experience living in New Orleans. She mentioned the “Little thingsmatter” attitude towards life of New Orleans. This will always stay in my heart. This is why the city is so charming and makespeople want to keep coming back. Mandy was the first local person I really encountered and engaged in a conversation during my4 days trip and she is making my trip memorable. Thank you, Mandy! Thank you, Luke! Absolutely fabulous! From the welcoming smile of the hostess, to the terrific servers and skilled kitchen staff, it was perfect.... The food was art! We all gasped at the seafood tower. Not a morsel was wasted. My friends and I had an experience to rememberand I can't wait to go back. Read more
