Let?s start by pointing out the padded velvet walls. They?re beautiful and luxurious, yet they are warm and inviting. I joined... my family of six(1 toddler) for a light dinner to hold us over for late drinks and desserts. We started with two appetizers, with the white truffle parmigiano toast and the potato gnocchi. Both were rich and flavorful. The toast was small though - notin the come on, you?re sharing this amongst 5, but small for two people to share. For our second course, we split threeentrees, snapper, duck breast, and hangar streak. I would order all three again, but the snapper the would be mypreference. None of the cocktails were calling to me, so I ordered a sazerac. It was a classic and true expression of thecocktail. Read more

Good ambiance. Nice hidden outdoor courtyard. They may have spray if you are getting bit. Some of the best gnocchi I?ve ever... had. It?s a small portion but it?s really good! The lamb is a popular dish but it?s just ok. Wouldn?t order it again. Not badbut not great. Hanger steak is what you would expect. A poor cut of meat. Flavor is good and fries are good. Our sever was niceand attentive. Drinks are really good. We Worl come back. Read more

Perfect example of classic French cooking. A place that might not make many "hot lists" (...for the better) but its imprint and... longevity in the community speaks volumes. To have such an incredible staff for a smaller sized restaurant, a dedicated fulltime maitre d', sommelier, general manager, hostess, and incredible waitstaff shows Lilette's dedication to service + quality. Not to mention the owner operator still in the kitchen (often) after 20+ years, you just don't see that anymore. The food isabsolutely perfect. Oysters were excellent, the Louisiana crab claws (what more can you say...) amazing, and the highlight ofthe meal the grade A Hawaiian swordfish cooked medium rare was just divine. French cuisine perfectly embodied in one dish. HUGEcheese plate for dessert with a 25+ year old Port was too good to be true. Best Boulevardiers I've had, and I've had afew. Ignore the lists and the internets and make sure to visit Lilette. Quite fair price to value + experience ratio as well. Read more
Lilette is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants in New Orleans. It is a charming with fantastic food and service. The... crab claws is one of my favorite dishes anywhere. I?ve actually gone here for pre-drinks and crab claws before going to dinnerelsewhere. This place never disappoints. Tonight?s experience was no exception. The roasted chicken with Brussels Sprouts andmushroom vinaigrette was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The skin was crispy, the breast juicy and the tang of the vinaigretteadded a brightness to the earthy mushrooms. Bonus for the perfectly made martinis with blue cheese olives. They also have oneof the best Bloody Marys in town. Love this spot. It?s on my do not miss list in New Orleans. Read more
