I was pleasantly surprise by the elegant decor of the coffee shop. I knew going in that it was a vegetarian kitchen. I enjoy a... good bean bean burger and I was not disappointed. The sandwich was well spiced, healthy and delicious. The two potato wedgeswere cold, but also good. I recommend you give Lamara a try if you are in the area. Read more

Honestly delicious. I had the red-hot mocha and I loved it. The iced brown sugar Latte was also scrumptious! The bread for the... sandwiches and Avocado toast was so hard though I thought my gums would bleed. Read more

2 stars for a pretty good acai bowl. Minus 2 stars for the older lady at the register mansplaining to a long time barista what... is and is not a latte, both telling me I ordered incorrectly and that their "traditional" recipe has quite a lot of ice (whichexplains why they have 16 and 21 oz "lattes," hence why they are more expensive too. Must be the traditional ice recipe!) Thelatte itself is very average and a little watered down, go figure. Minus 1 star for charging me 20 bucks for this experienceand poor customer service. This is a solid vegan coffee shop that's seemingly sustainable from top to bottom. They serve up a pretty interesting menu of... smoothies (with protein). I had an A+ berry smoothie that came in a generous portion. Surfer's breakfast (sandwich) was subtle, pretty good, but not as exciting as I expected. This place is super spacious and clean; I'd definitely recommend coming here torelax/get work done and enjoy a good smoothie. Read more

I really loved the breakfast at this cute little place in NOLA. There was lots of street parking in the area and a very busy... place called Tastee on the corner down the block where I parked. The inside of the restaurant was so clean. Everything was whiteand open, and if you're a big fan of sunlight, there are windows that let in tons of light. Green plants grew in every corner, adding to the healthy aura of the place. They had organic and natural products for sale in addition to the healthy menu. Icannot eat gluten and was so happy they had a grain-free waffle made with almond flour, which is what I cook and bake with athome. This was the menu description: GRAIN FREE WAFFLE (contains egg) Almond flour | toasted pecans | | Vermont maple syrup |fresh fruit I also ordered a side of the pastured scrambled eggs. At this restaurant, you order at the cash, and the girl takingmy order was very friendly and helpful. The food was so good and very fresh. I also didn't have to wait very long for it to comeout of the kitchen. I'm not a huge fruit person and usually just eat my waffles with syrup, but I made myself eat the fruitthis time, and it was very good. Incredible syrup, and the eggs were delicious, very fluffy. The coffee was very good also. It'svery nice to be able to eat a breakfast you feel so good about. Lamara proves that healthy can be perfectly delicious. The onlycriticism I can offer is that they need cushions in the chairs, which were a tad uncomfortable. Otherwise, I will certainlyreturn to this bright and airy space that offers a waffle I don't feel guilty about eating afterward. There was the added bonusthat, as I walked back to my car, there was a gang of Elvises riding mini-bikes going down the street. Always somethinginteresting to see in the Big Easy! Read more
