After being turned away from 2 prior places we happened upon this place. Oh my word what luck for us! The food and the staff... were a 15/10 and the inside was gorgeous. I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in town. Read more

We went here for a birthday dinner date after hearing great things about it. The staff was amazing, the decor was great; it had... an out of time atmosphere that was very pleasing! The food was well flavored, however we had wish for some more pasta due toprice point. But we got their: delicious raw oyster topped w/ green tomatoes, ham, & ramps followed by crawfish ravioli &amatriciana bucatini. Here's some photos to boot! @phidingthefam Read more

Everything was prepared to perfection. Bartender was extremely helpful and gracious. Enjoyed the food and drink. The place... filled up at the end of the night and the bartender handled it like a pro. Full bar area at 9:30pm and she made sure everyonewas taken care of with a smile. My wife was extremely happy we were able to try your establishment before we left NOLA. Hope tobe back again soon. Read more

The food was ridiculously good! Everything was mouth watering, cooked to perfection, and really unique. I’d also recommend to... affogato desert-one of the best I’ve ever had. Where they lose points was our service. The waiter, while nice enough, waslacking proper training and kept making small mistakes that distracted us from our meals. One of those things was not to tell usthat the tip was already included in the bill—luckily we checked before paying. Overall, worth going to simply for how goodthe food is. Read more

An interest experience. We were told ahead of time the culture here was different than what we may expect. When you walk in, it... presents as a very fancy restaurant, but the staff is encouraged to “come as you are.” That means most of the staff were inblue jeans. They also had pin on their shirts to identify them as restaurant staff. The manager told me they didn’t believe inname tags. I wasn’t sure if that was some sort of new age culture thing I was oblivious to or not. Anyway, the food. The pastawas tasty. The pistachio desert was good. My wife had the board, which she liked. The steak, however, was over cooked. We saidmedium well, but followed that up by saying warm pink center. It was brown through and through. Read more

Josephine Estelle is a very nice restaurant located inside the Ace Hotel. The service was awesome from start to finish and I... really enjoyed my meal, but do believe the price point is a bit high. I started with the Arancini and it was delicious! Myentree (Braised Beef Short Rib) was very good also. It came with some yummy polenta and charred okra. Although it was great, theserving was a bit small and left me unfulfilled. Because of that, I was forced to get dessert lol! The Peanut Butter Budino…itwas interesting and I didn’t quite understand it, but I finally realized I needed to dig to the bottom of the jar to ensureevery bite had some of each layer. It was actually pretty good! This was a great experience overall and I would more than likelyreturn. Read more

Let me start by saying I've lived in New Orleans for almost 6 years and this used to be one of my favorite restaurants EVER.... However, I seriously cannot think of a single worse experience in this city than the brunch I attended today. First, the tablesand chairs are absolutely falling apart. There were 3 tables unbussed around us and it was unpleasant. However, we were willingto look past it as we usually enjoy the food. Ordering off the brunch menu, it was inedible. The side of avocado we were servedwas COMPLETELY ROTTEN. The griddled bread with my eggs in purgatory was not only burnt, but it sat out so long it was soft andsoggy. The poached eggs were COLD in the middle and the arrabiata sauce was also clearly just cold, canned tomato. My partners'shrimp and grits' had inedibly bad grits and two shrimp that were not even grilled. Never seen a restaurant fall from gracethis badly. Could not be more disappointed. Paid over $100 with a bottle of wine to eat two pieces of soggy, burnt bread, onecold and sickening poached egg, and two shrimp that weren't even grilled. Do not waste your time or money (pick up fast foodinstead). Read more
