Looking for that authentic Jamaican grill, and was grateful to find this spot off the beaten path. Rich flavors presented by a... pleasant man. Would be a regular if I were local. Read more

He is never up and running like his hours say on the website. Previously the food was good but they will no longer get my... business. My family tried to eat there on 3 occasions recently. 1) we arrived at 2 pm and Johnny said the food wouldn?t be readyuntil 5 2) closed during operating hours on the website 3) called before going and he said that food would be ready at 4 (mindyou the website said 12) and when I arrived at 430 Johnny was packing up to leave and nonchalant about not serving us. Iunderstand that it?s only him, but he could at least update the IG page or something. Too much time wasted with him! ThankfullyI?ve found a better authentic Jamaican restaurant in NoLa with better cuisine and customer service! Read more

we really liked this spot. the food is solid jamaican flavors. decent portions and priced. it is not my best jamaican food in... the USA but it's in the top 5. the bar has really yummy jamaican juices. i got a lychee paradise. we had to wait a while forfood to be ready but it was lovely outside and he pulled out cornhole for us to play while we waited. the entire space is reallynicely set up. hope they get more business during the warm season. fair amount of take out business. collectively our group gotthe oxtail, curry chicken, jerk chicken, and brown stew chicken. all tasted good. Brown stewed chicken, fresh cooked taste with lots of flavor and a hint of spice.

Not the best but definitely edible. I purchased the curry chicken plate. The rice and peas was kinda bland and the chicken was... salty. The vegetables served with their dishes is spinach (or at least for the day I ordered, it was only spinach) I?m more usedto the traditional steamed cabbage. Read more
