This old house is recreating cocktail history. Generally I'm not a huge cocktail drinker. These made me a believer. The balance... and structure of each drink is superb! My friend and I also ordered a few dishes which were also excellent. I'll be back thenext time I'm in town. Thank you for the hospitality! Read more

Fabulous! Eye opening flavors! The cocktails were top notch! My husband and I went for our anniversary and we were served a... welcome drink! We went all out for the caviar which is delicious and 3 plates which could easily be shared. As well as a desert! Its not a place for picky eaters but for a special occasion and you want to explore your taste pallet, go for it! Read more

The drinks were fantastic. Interesting flavors and well presented. The best thing we ordered was the tuna tartar. Loved the... contrast of the crispy sweatbreads with the soft tuna and crunch of the veg. Heirloom carrots were great flavor wise but I feelas though they were undercooked. Too crunchy. Was told they were poached and then baked. In my opinion sous vide to start wouldbe better as it would ensure the inside is cooked without providing too much browning that might hide the other complex flavors. The foie was a strange dish in that I felt the prune was the star of the show. Without the prune, the dish was bland. The foiecould benefit from more aggressive seasoning. Texture wise the dish was great with the toasted bread and the creamy parfait. Thezucchini dish was possibly our least favorite. Simply underseasoned and the choice to not scoop out the seed core of thezucchini contributed to the watering down of seasoning and flavor. Miso alone does not provide enough salt. The caviar servicewas nice. The potato scallops were delicious but I wish they served the creme fraiche and the chives in separate dishes so Icould more easily control how much chive I wanted, if at all. Finally we ordered the gougere with parmesan cream. Conceptuallymakes sense but lacked depth due to the richness of the cheese not being balanced by anything. We told our server something likea tomato jam would provide nice acidity to contrast the otherwise tasty parmesan. Tldr: drinks and tartar carried the meal.Would come back for drinks alone. First time dining at jewel of the south after hearing amazing things about them. They fell nothing short of exceptional in every... aspect. The service was impeccable, Madi made my boyfriend and I feel right at home. The cocktails were so refreshing, veryhappy with our choices. We got the French 75 and the Feast of Avalon. The food was perfect. We had the wagyu beef tongue, thepork belly, shishito peppers with bacon fat creme, cantaloupe with prosciutto and ricotta, and we ended the night with anamazing malted chocolate custard. Definitely coming back to this jewel! Read more

This gem of a place is on the very edge of the Quarter on St. Louis Street. Tucked behind the beautiful old building is a lovely... courtyard and the entrance to a beautiful bar area and more tables. Maddie and Vince took excellent care of us, listening towhat we liked and making appropriate recommendations for craft cocktails. It's an intimate atmosphere to enjoy both traditionaland contemporary cocktails along with caviar (if you're into that), small plates of seasonal food offerings and attention todetails. Read more

I wanted our first restaurant in New Orleans to be tasty with good reviews and we lucked out the rating reflected our... experience. 5/5 stars, our server was attentive to our table and very courteous. Our food came out in good intervals. Starterswere foie gras with ginger bread, complemented with ginger jelly, HOLY GINGER! They went hand in hand. Bone marrow and focacciawas flavorful. Entrees were Ribeye with truffle butter & frittes. Also tried the sweetbreads, first time trying it but it had anice fry to it, had a chewiness to it. Buffalo flavor complemented it nicely. Desserts, I prefer the strawberries with Cremefresh over the currant puff pastry. Great ambiance! Read more

OFF THE BEATEN PATH, 100% WORTH FINDING - we were recommended this place by friends, and what a gorgeous place this is. We were... there for Sunday brunch prior to jazz fest and had a wonderful experience. Hipster staff serve well executed cocktails andunique food from the tiniest kitchen. NOLA has so many dining options, but please check this place out… !!! AMBIENCE - thisplace is so cute, attention to detail is perfect, such an intimate space for dining too! SERVICE - well informed staff guided usthrough a menu that is perhaps different (in a really great way) with some heavy influences from the UK. Go say hi to Grant theEnglish chef, he really is turning out excellent food that is highly unique! MENU - can’t speak highly about the food onoffer, every dish was fantastic, let the staff guide you, and be adventurous- BOOZE - loved the cocktails, wine list was goodtoo, and some great local beers. SUMMARY - can’t recommend this place highly enough, it’s in a relatively out of the waylocale, but worth a visit. We will be back for sure! Read more

What an incredible experience! From the drinks to the amazing food to the charming atmosphere to the amazing customer service…... I loved this spot! The kitchen was running behind and they gave us a complimentary dish and glass of wine, we were going to behappy either way, but definitely an added plus! I also love that this place takes a % on each bill to give their employeesbenefits. Added to my favorites and highly recommended! Read more
