Reviews for Fulton St. Bistro & Bar in New Orleans, LA
Don’t eat here if you have a food allergy. I have celiac and nobody had clue or seemed to care. The waitress recommended... dishes that obviously contained gluten. I asked her to check with the kitchen to see what was safe and she refused because theywere busy. It wasn’t busy in the restaurant. Read more
The service was pretty disappointing. My colleague and I sat at the bar in hopes of receiving quicker service and that was far... from what was received. I waited quite a while before asking if we should be sitting somewhere else to receive service. Therewas only one waiter serving but he seemed to really struggle with juggling the four parties dining at the time. We gave ourorder the first time our server approached us. He handed us empty cups for our drinks and we waited over 30 minutes before wecould get his attention to actually fill our cups. We waited well over 45 minutes for our food. My order was incorrect so Iwaited an additional 20+ minutes for my food. People were having to approach the bar frequently to ask for utensils or theirchecks. I could hear management apologizing at every table, but I really couldn’t understand how they could be struggling withso few tables to serve. I can’t even imagine what the service would be like if all the tables were seated. The food was ok,but over priced as expected for the area. At the very least you would expect at least decent service. If you’re in a hurry, Iwould recommend eating somewhere else. Read more
It was probably because of covid but the service was amazingly slow. 90 mins from sitting to getting checks for breakfast and... they were not busy. The shrimp skillet had 3 tiny pieces of shrimp in it. Orders were wrong and the bills were wrong. Thetable next to us had three different groups seated and then leave 15 minutes later after never seeing a waiter. Read more
Every breakfast in Powergen 2019 and there ar very nice waiter and waitress.
Waste of money. Save your money and time. Service was great tried hard to please. Gumbo had a empty peace of crab shell. Which... was the only seafood you could see. No seasoning. Cat fish and nice batter but no seasoning and covered with pecan in a brownsauce with no seasoning. Corn grits not terrible but covered with the liquid from vegetable medley. Still no seasoning. Really disappointed. Had read lots of great reviews and was excited to try. The BBQ Shrimp was ok, but I asked for a medium rare... filet ($36) and not once but twice was brought something that was well done. Instead of wiping it from my bill though I wasbrought a free appetizer that I didn't ask for (ironically, the friend green tomatoes were good). Nice gesture, but not theright resolution. The most surprising part was that the restaurant was almost empty. How do you overcook a steak twice when youaren't even busy? Read more
Absolutely phenomenal. Hands down the best crab cakes(please try it before you judge a crab cake), and one of the best Filet... Mignon I've ever had. Eric the bartender was spot on with all of his recommendations, and it was a pleasure meeting theExecutive Chief who recommended the Filet. I'll definitely be back to this restaurant. Read more
