Reviews for Felipe's Mexican Taqueria in New Orleans, LA
I have come to this felipe's since I was a kid, and I have always loved it. However today I was disappointed. The service was... fine, but my meal was sub-par. The rice was hard, the chicken was dry, and my veggies were undercooked. I hope that the generalmanager Jorge sees this review and makes sure the food is up to felipe's standards going forward. This Place is so great omg. It's so delicious I got it once and begged my friends to come with me the next week. We went after... rally and it was very elite. It was fun and the food was so yummy. Please go here you will not regret Read more
Outstanding! First time here. Was highly recommended by friends. Wow. I know why! I had the big burrito and a regular taco.... Best I?ve ever eaten. The general manager, Jorge, made us feel like family. Read more
The outside bar was open and there was great music by the Vivaz small band for Mexican Independence Day!
Edit: I was really upset over this delivery order, but the owner contacted me shortly after wanting to make things right. I went... in person to their location near the top of Tulane campus and the food that I had there was pretty good. I think that I willjust avoid getting delivery from this place in the future. Original post: The worst. Ordered delivery - the food got here coldand both items were wrong. The lettuce on the taco salad looked like something you would find wet and living in a cave, havingnever seen the light of day before and smelling like a compost pile. It was just plain gross. Threw it away and am headed hungryto the grocery store. Read more
Felipe's is one of the most consistent dine-in spots that you would ever visit. Food is always excellent with consistent flavor... at every location. The staff at the particular location are pretty awesome. I have eaten here several times, but the parkingis pretty competitive with all of the other businesses surrounding. I always recommend Felipe's and share my same dish, nachos,on social media. A must visit. Read more
Been eating here for a few years now, the food (entrees and sides) are good, despite the prices rising a few dollars steadily... for the past year or so. I ordered margaritas, chips and salsa to go tonight and I am very disappointed in it. First off, $3only gets you a brown paper bag a quarter-full of sad, broken chips, and another $3 gets you a small to go container of salsa(read: onion water with a few tomato chunks). If you choose to eat here, stick with nachos, burritos, or any other main dishes. You're better than this, Felipe's. Read more
Honestly, the food is not bad. But the service always seems rushed, the tacos are average, and the meats really aren't anything... surprising. On top of that, the food is expensive. No taco should be over 3 dollars. Considering places around the area dobetter jobs flavor wise, Felipe's cannot be the most expensive. In the end it's ok if you want food that tastes alright butcharges more. Update: I came back recently and the tortilla was cold. I have been to much better places now and I can't sayfelipes is a good display of Mexican food in New Orleans. Read more
