The food was delicious. We stopped in for lunch and ordered a Muffuletta and a Cooter Burger. Definitely one of the best burgers... I?ve ever had, it was big and very tasty. The Muffuletta was a large sandwich too and tasted great. The bar has a largeselection of domestic and imported beer on tap, in bottles and cans. I will definitely go back again. Read more

Great little tavern off the normal tourist routes & destinations. We were staying in an Airbnb close by & popped in a couple... times during our week stay. Happy hour rum punch $3 ????????. Food was tasty & reasonably priced too. Try the Oysters if you arebrave enough. Also the Muffaletta ( a new orleans staple) was delicious. Great service, nice atmosphere & a relief on thewallet from the normal tourist traps! Read more

Been going here since 1995 for the great beer selection and fried oysters. Plenty of ???? for the sports action too. $31 for 12... fried oysters these days! Tried to get a half order but they wouldn't do it! C'mon man! The Cole slaw was excellent with choppednuts on top! Raw oysters were $25 a dozen. Read more

Go-to tavern/sports bar for sure! Probably, the most complete selection of beers in the whole city. A true institution in... uptown. Do not sleep on their food. The wings and loaded fries are fire and they happen to chuck the best oysters in thegreater Louisiana area. Read more

We were on the trolley got hungry and someone said hi to Cooter Browns. Immediately loved the name and said what the heck. It?s... old it?s dark it?s kinda questionable but we loved it. Great cold beer good burgers. Not a fussy place. It?s not a hooters or atwin peaks but it has good food and cold drinks. Reasonable prices. Read more

Cooter Browns is a New Orleans dive bar jewel. It?s been here long enough to be a generational destination with fathers and... sons, mothers and daughters all seeking late night cheese fries and cold beer. Cooter Brown?s had an amazing beer selection longbefore it was hip and fashionable. In addition to varied and changing draft taps, there are innumerable bottles and cans fromthe far corners. If you can?t find a beer here, you aren?t really in the mood to drink. Additionally, the kitchen is on thelevel of many top tier poboy and seafood stops in NOLA. No I don?t work here or own part of it, I just appreciate it. Read more

Was recommended to us and worth it! We went on a Friday night and there where a lot of college students and a mix of other... people, it was a pretty busy night. We got a slew of different foods to try. The catfish basket, a salad, oysters and boudinballs. The kitchen is separate from the bar and the oyster shucking is also separate from the food at the corner of the bar, soorder all three in different places. I would recommend for the food! There are TVs on every wall so good for sports watchingeven though that is not what we were there for. Also, two bars for easier drink access. Read more

My review of the restaurants we've gone to we've gone to is always excellent because I am selective. I only go to good... restaurants that I like . Cooter Brown's is a noisy, large, uptown uptown bar with a with a restaurant a and one of the bestoyster bars in the city.. The oysters are freshly shucked when you order. It is noisy and loud but the oysters are just greatdon't let the apparent scare you away Read more
