An old friend and waiter at Charlie?s heard my husband and I were in town for the weekend and suggested we try Charlie?s. Best... decision ever!! I?m not typically a steak eater, but my steak was delicious. The onion ring string appetizer was AWESOME!! Thesteaks are BIG! The sides were delicious. Too full for dessert but they look wonderful. I love the coziness of the restaurantand the service was fantastic, all of the waiters were attentive!! Ask for Keith?s section, you?ll be happy you did! Read more

Great staff, small hole in the wall .. good food if u like steak, or u can choose tuna steak... all sides a la cart and will... feed about 2 ppl... biggest froes I've ever seen, looked like taste logs! Old, historic lovely place... we paid for 6 guests, almost $600 before the tip, it's worth it, but don't go with empty pockets! Read more

This place has its quirks, but the food is delicious and the service is top notch! I had a 26 oz porterhouse with sautéed... mushrooms and it was delicious! There are only about 5 or so main course items to choose from, but each one is worth the try.Our waiter greeted us right away, took our order and the food flowed to the table like clockwork. I definitely recommend thisplace! Read more

First time there and it was great. My 32 oz t-bone was way undercooked but was still really good. I had a few bites of my wife's... ribeye and it was amazing. I will definitely get that next time. The side dishes were delicious. I had the potatoes au gratinand my wife had the cream spinach. We both love them. Everyone on the staff was great from the minute we walked in. I definitelyrecommend it and I will be back. Read more

A very disappointing "steakhouse". A big chain restaurant will serve you better food than this place. The restaurant is nothing... special, if anything a bit run down. The insides are very aged and looks like the inside of a school cafeteria in a way. I thinkold school decor can be done well, but it just felt like there were few efforts to upkeep the dining room from when it firstopened. We were seated downstairs so the upstairs may be different. A ribeye(18oz!!) and a NY strip steaks were ordered a longwith a "half order of onion rings", asparagus, and potatoes au gratin. This cost us in the ballpark of $130. The onion ringswere piled very high, were very greasy, and were very thin. I would market them as noodles instead of rings. Nothing to reallywrite home about. The asparagus was acceptable but then again, I expected something delicious, not simply acceptable. Thepotatoes au gratin were the same. They were also very oily and greasy for no reason, just like the onion rings. The ribeyesteak was easily the worst steak I have ever tasted for the price($50!). Tough. It was ordered medium rare and the insideslooked like mixed up raw ground beef. The ends were tough and it tasted bland. The NY strip steak was the same. It wasessentially alive in the middle, and had no flavor. The plate it came on was filled with so much fat and even that somehowmanaged to taste like it had no seasoning at all! My girlfriend and I both felt sick after eating here and we suspect it wasfrom the insides of our steaks being literally raw. I would not recommend this place to anyone and am very sad that I wasunfortunate enough to think it would be a nice restaurant with good food. Do not go here. The prices are not worth the mediocre, bland, and raw "steaks". Read more

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The word unpretentious came to mind while eating here. It isn?t that the restaurant is not... trying to impress, it is just that they do not feel the need to put on airs. My server Keith was very nice and attentivethroughout the visit. The onion rings were massive, a half order could probably feed four people easily. Tried both the 10ozfilet as well as the 14oz New York Strip. Both were cooked exactly to order and tasted great. I also thought the potatoes augratin were very good. Read more

Small quaint place. Neighborhood vibes for sure. No menu... or at least we were not offered one. We're told the menu but not the... price. One of us opted for the Coolinary 3 course offering. The salad was literally just half the iceberg with a ton of bluecheese on top. Was not appetizing. The crab au gratin was topped with too much bread crumbs. That's all you could taste. Decidedto spoon and flip it over to eat from the bottom. The steaks came out sizzling. Cooked to the correct temperature. Lackedflavor!!! I don't think they have any seasoning in the kitchen. The dessert tasted like a homemade project. The server was nottoo present but. It absent. It's definitely not a fine dining place. Heard about it from a coworker and saw that it had goodstar rating on google. Should've read up on it or looked at photos. Must not be reviews from people that enjoy more ethnic food.Just so bland here. Checked it off my list and now I don't have to come back. Read more

The food was outstanding! From the onion ring appetizer to the Oreo cookie cheesecake and everything in between. I will fully... admit I am a seafood lover and was a bit skeptical going to a steak please, but this was by far the best steak I've ever eaten. Read more
