The atmosphere is great. I would not recommend the burger but the Jerk chicken was great!
Cavan was great. It was my first time last night. I had taken on the responsibility of setting up a birthday dinner for about 25... people at this restaurant. I'm mentioning that because I took a star away for the semantics and nuances involved in all ofthat. Now that that's been said, in regard to the establishment. The actual venue was so cute. We have the whole upstairsdining room / bar to ourselves and everything was a vibe. The whole aesthetic was just cuter than I imagined it could be. I havebrought some birthday decorations and added to it and it just made me so happy. The service was great especially consideringhow many of us they were catering to. My favorite part of the experience was having the cocktail menu feature the name of mybirthday boy in the title of their signature cocktails. The food was absolutely excellent! We were able to try severaldifferent dishes which unfortunately I didn't get pictures of but on the table we had the marinated olives the chickpeas and thefish dip. For the appetizers we had an amazing absolutely delicious chicken caesar salad and some other kind of salad that wasgood but not as memorable as well as grilled octopus on butter beans... Entries were flounder almondine, pork loin and scallops.PHENOMENAL. The cocktails were great too. After everything was said and done I was quite happy! Good service and really nice location. Had the octopus and the jersey chicken. Both aight, expensive for what it was, the... pineapple salsa on the chicken was really good, probably my favorite thing. Food took a while to come out and chicken was quiteundercooked. Read more
Nice restaurant with a great outdoor patio and a NOLA type inside dining experience. The patio is dog friendly. I do recommend... getting a reservation here because after 7:30 pm that seems to be the only way that you'll be able to get a table. The food wasgood, but the interesting cocktails is what really stands out here. You'll have multiple unique cocktails, something that willappeal to everyone. Great patio. The food was really great but maybe a bit too pricey for what it’s worth. The server also charged us for an extra cocktail. I... get that mistakes happen, but it also disappoints me because I feel like a large percentage of patrons wouldn’t have caughtthat on the bill. Cozy restaurant setting in an old house/mansion. Indoor and outdoor dining is available. We sat on the front porch overlooking... Magazine St and other patrons. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the Jerk Chicken and would recommend it.The staff was friendly. I’d definitely go back someday. Read more
Very cool place! Good location, nice outdoor patio area - had a jazz ensemble out there they day we dined. Food was GREAT! ... Chicken cooked perfectly and could not consumed an endless bowl of the brussel sprouts. Good drink selection - had Citadel gin! Friendly service, good appetizers - highly recommend! Read more
The experience was amazing. For cocktails we had: The Double Impeachment, The La Salle’s Miscalculations, Pull The Level, and... the Calyxo Cocktail. They were AMAZING. Best drinks I had the entire trip in New Orleans. The Calyxo Cocktail was my favorite.Three of us got the preset dinner for $45. Such a great deal. We tried the Chili Crab Lettuce Wraps (amazing) and the FriedCalamari. We all three chose the Tempranillo Red Wine. Delish. And for the entré we all chose the Seared Pork Belly. This dishwas super delicious but also is so fatty that I really believe it needs citrus or more kimchi or a floral or something tolighten it up. Otherwise it was perfect. The one other person with us had the Cavan Burger with fries. I love the ambiance. Thestaff was very attentive. I never saw the bottom of my water glass they were so on top of it.
