Reviews for Café Du Monde Riverwalk in New Orleans, LA
Crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. They bring 3 beignets per bag and they are pretty large! If you don?t eat that... much, one bag of 3 is enough for 2 people to taste. I had a frozen coffee and it was very refreshing. Read more
A great cafe du Monde right at the Riverwalk. Easy to access from the Hilton hotel and surrounded with lots of other food and... shopping, this cafe is just as good as the original. The beignets are made right in front of you and you can see the employeestossing the dough in the fryer. The whole process is in front of a glass window similar to Krispy Kreme, but much more enjoyableto watch. It's very fast and the beignets come out piping hot. Read more

My friend hadn?t yet experienced New Orleans beignets. I had to take her to the location serving the best beignets in the city.... Café Du Monde has a few locations in the city, and these are hands-down the tastiest desserts you can get. We went to thelocation inside the Riverwalk mall as it was easily accessible from our hotel. There was a decent line, however it moved fast.Their coffees, both hot and frozen, are must haves. With how expensive it is, if you are looking to take a piece of New Orleansback with you, they sell a mug with coffee for only $6! The beignets come in servings of three pieces, and it only cost $3.40plus tax ($3.72 total). These delectable desserts are lightly fried dough topped with a copious amount of powdered sugar. Theyare extremely fresh and warm when served, and they are best enjoyed while still piping hot. They are served in a little paperbag, and the trick is to fold the bag, and vigorously shake it so that the powdered sugar is covering every inch of the beignetevenly. This location is the perfect spot to get a classic staple dessert in an indoor setting with a massive window lookingout on the river. Read more
For the Heritage and the culture it carried it deserves a 5 star. A long line before you start and all the way into the café... you get to see a lot of things that says about the history this place carries. Coming to the food I really dint care about thecoffee taste and the French donuts were good except for the insane amount of sugar powder they put on them. The Café is alwayscrowded and hygiene is a bit compromised. CASH only business is a bummer even at this point in time. Read more
Used to be a good place but they have dropped their reputations. Dirty dining area, unmanaged tables. CASH only (Jan 2022).... Thousands of people still love to stop by here but there are many other similar place and better test. Read more
I accidentally went to the wrong place the first time to get beignet (both were green signs) and was really disappointed with... it. But the next day i decided to try it again. This was everything I expected! It wasn't soaked in oil at all, it was 100% waybetter than the other one i had. Had 1 and wanted more. Coffee was good too. It comes in 3s when you order and perfect size,IMO. Read more
