Bearcat is a must have experience when you visit the crescent city. The location is full of unique eateries and shops along the... neighborhood. The food here is beyond delicious, and the pricing is even better. We enjoyed the staff and the ease of menuoptions during our visit. Do yourself a favor and experience this restaurant in person. This place was AMAZING in good but be prepared to wait A LONG FREAKING TIME for a table. It doesn?t matter what day, you?re... gonna wait longer than 30 minutes. We waited an hour fifteen?, hence the four stars versus five. BUT, the food was well worththe wait. Especially if you?re gluten and dairy free. There are tons of options, the cave breakfast was my favorite. Read more

Sunday brunch, started off with the creole crab dish which was sooo good. Then since I eat a lot I got two entrees, the brisket... hash and the Cajun gravy biscuit. The picture of the hash is kind of deceiving and even surprised me while eating it. As you cansee you have your breakfast potatoes and your egg in the hole, but what you don?t see is underneath that is gravy and some kindof meat (I guess what they?re calling brisket, not what I?d call it though). It was very good once I realized the combination ofeverything on the plate, it was very savory and paired well. The Cajun gravy biscuit was great as well, my complaints being it?sa single biscuit cut in half (I hate when you get a single biscuit with ?biscuits and gravy? and the bottom half of the biscuitwas kind of hard also. We arrived around 2 (they close at 3) and were put on the list. Once they called us they gave the choiceof sitting outside or at the bar, so we chose outside since it was nice and overcast the whole 30 mins we waited. That was amistake!! If you?re given the choice SIT INSIDE!!!! The sun came out of no where and made the last part of our meal unpleasant,we couldn?t wait to get the check. Price on all of my food: Creole crab dip $17 Brisket hash $12 Cajun gravy biscuit $12 I?lldefinitely be back again, but definitely would not recommend sitting outside. Read more

LOVED this place! Came here while visiting New Orleans with my sister who is vegan. I?m not vegan but really enjoy vegan food.... This restaurant had something for everyone - omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, even paleo. We both got vegan dishes and what wehad was awesome. So flavorful, great textures, etc. Good coffee too. We came around mid morning on a Tuesday and while we didn?thave to wait there was a decent crowd, so if there?s a crowd even at off times I have to think this place must be very popular.Definitely worth a visit not only for vegans but for anyone seeking a great breakfast! Stopped in on the Saturday of essence festival and overall my group was satisfied. When we originally got there, it was very... crowded and we were told that the wait would be 1 hour and 30 minutes. The hostess added us to the wait list, took our phonenumber, and told us she would call when the food was ready. We decided to run an errand while we waited and only 40 minutes hadpassed before she was calling to tell us our table was ready. When we finally sat down, the service was pretty good to say theyclosing in and hour and the food was fresh. I can appreciate being able to see the cooks prepare the food. Really nice vibe anda really good spot to try if you?re vegan. I would come back when I visit Nola again. I don?t really have a complaint, but Iwill say I would probably not get the crab scramble again. It was not nasty, just not something I would like to have again. Thetrumpet scallops on the other hand ? I would definitely come back and order that. It is not pictured but my friend let me tryhers and everything was seasoned very well !!!! Read more

All the food is cooked to order! The cooks are talented I was able to watch the entire process at the bar. Request Trey he?s a... great waitress. He gave us some bomb recommendations to try. He even recommended this meal we chose and it was so freakingyummy. I picked this place to eat at for brunch and was unsure but once arrived I had no doubt I chose good. You must try thisplace and I forgot to mention it?s a total vibe. They play hip hop music. Read more

The best restaurant in New Orleans! Both the Shrimp & Grits and Mushrooms & Grits were delicious! I also tried the Butterfly... Matcha Latte. It was really beautiful and slightly sweet. Worth trying once but not something I'd get again. Read more

When we arrived there was a wait. The hostess offered to call the other location to see if we could get in without a wait. ... That was very nice. We walked around the neighborhood while we waited and the area is very cute. They have LOTS of veganoptions and pretty much something for everyone. I had the mushrooms and shrimp. It could've used a little more seasoning butwas good. The biscuits and mushroom gravy was really good. Shrimp and grits was delicious. The kids really enjoyed thepancakes. My son also really liked the BLT with avocado. Service was OK and it was FREEZING in the restaurant. Overall a goodchoice and we would go back, with a sweater. Read more
