Reviews for Beachbum Berry's Latitude 29 in New Orleans, LA
We caught Latitude 29 on a rare quiet night. It was Sunday after a disappointing loss for the local sportsball team, and... everyone had pretty much left the Quarter for the weekend. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and had a fantasticexperience. I've been to a lot of tiki bars and know a thing or two about tiki bartending. This place serves the best tikidrinks I've ever had. My expectations were sky high, since this is Beachbum Berry's joint, and I was not disappointed. Servicewas fantastic and fast, and likewise on the following night when we returned and it was more crowded. I didn't eat, but myfriends did, and they all gave a thumbs-up. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in New Orleans. Read more
Chill atmosphere with pacific tiki vibes. The drink menu is tiki tropical with Many delicious options. All of the drinks we had... were balanced and delicious. The Navy Grog, Latitude 29, and Pina Colada were great. I'd love to return and try moredrinks! Also! Absolutely order the Pu put platter. The food is not to be missed. I really enjoyed the pimento cheese Rangoonand the sticky ribs. Pro-tip: reserve a table days, or even a week, ahead. Read more

Jumping right to the chase, Latitude 29 is the BEST bar in the city for tasty, creative cocktails. As New Orleans locals my wife... and I have been to Latitude 29?s a fair number of times. The drinks are outstanding!!! While we love a good tiki drink and makeit a point to search out tiki bars in other cities when we visit, few get into the same tier as Latitude 29. Most of the drinksare rum based, but gin and other liquors make an appearance too. It is hard to go wrong with anything on the menu as so muchthought goes into the recipes. My personal favorite is the Puka Punch. Fair warning! The drinks are strong! The service we havehad has always been great. Standout times include our waiter overhearing a discussion at our table on agricole rhum and hebrought us over a shot of one distilled in Louisiana as an example. Read more
Nice place. Be advised there is no sign that says Beachbum Berry's, it's solely called Latitude 29. Ribs were fantastic. I want... the recipe for the carrot salad. The Zombie cocktail was strong and fruity. The dim lighting makes for a sexy atmosphere (gooddate spot). Reservation encouraged - nearly didn't get in. Read more
We didn't make it here until it was towards the end of our trip. Having eaten at the other popular places around the french... quarter, I can say that this was by far THE BEST! Wish we could've eaten there again, there were so many things I wanted to try.Every other restaurant had small portions and light drinks. Total opposite here so you don't feel swindled after your meal! There asian inspired take on chicken and waffles was amazing! Read more
First of all, hard to get a table or place at the bar, highly suggest reservations. But definitely worth going here, nice... bartenders, very accommodating, the drinks take the crown if you like rum and tiki drinks. The food (at least what we had) wasfantastic and would definitely come back here while in New Orleans. Read more
I had the chicken and waffles. A very nice take on a delicious combination. The only issue I'd have is that the breading to... chicken ratio was quite high. The bar made me a Saturn off the menu and it was wonderful. The Halloween special was a bitchallenging but delicious in its own right. I sampled my wife's pork belly dish and it was a savory blend of unctuous pork bellyand noodles. Read more
