Had a Muffaletta for a late lunch at the French market. Service was a bit slow due to crowd but the taste was unique with fresh... ingredients. A nice place to get few healthy, gluten free vegetarian option! I had the Vegetarian Muffaletta, it was deliciousand fresh, the bread had a lot of sesame seeds and the filling had lots of green veggies and cheese! Read more
This was the first stop on our New Orleans trip for a muffaletta sandwhich and I can tell you it was worth it. The brine from... the olives and the sesame seed topped bread with cheese and meat just really made it. Completely yum. It really started the tripright and I'm so glad we stopped. Read more

In my quest for THE muffuletta Alberto?s has a lot of pros: the bread to filling ratio is balanced, the bread is chewy, the meat... and cheese are fresh and flavorful; the cons: the muffuletta is heated (this is a personal preference so it might be a pro toyou); the olive salad is crunchy but in my opinion needs more olives to give it that just-right briny saltiness. The size forhalf a muffuletta is standard and can be shared between two. The price is also competitive. Service is fast and expect to waitfor your food as it is made to order. If you find yourself as a tourist or as a local wondering the French Market and want atasty muffuletta try Alberto?s. But, for me, THE quest continues? Read more

Literally 15 seconds later that same man walked out of thekitchen to serve a muffaletta to someone else. Wouldn't recommend that you go out of your way to come here since they may notserve you food.
