Amazing food. Their fried sweet corn nuggets are to die for, the best I?ve ever had. Their potato salad, Mac-n-cheese, and pork... is amazing. I haven?t found one thing on their menu that I don?t like. And the people who work there are friendly. It?s what youwould expect for an Alabama BBQ spot. And the inside is very clean! Read more

Huge shout out to Denise Kinsey Tyriver & Ole Hickory BBQ! Their Holiday specials are an absolute life saver for those of us... short on time, not to mention the food is amazing!!! Denise is so very organized and her staff is incredibly patient & kind. All her customers love her, including me????. Picking up my thanksgiving dinner yesterday from Ole Hickory BBQ couldn?t havebeen any easier. don?t ask me how I know tomorrow?s dinner is going to be really really good cause I?m not going to admit I ate2 plates tonight???????????? This is the third holiday meal I?ve ordered from Ole Hickory and I?ll be ordering Christmassoon. Don?t forget dessert!! I wanna start by saying my husband went in and grabbed it and said the folks here are SO nice! And I feel terrible this was our... experience. To begin with, my husband comes from a big family and will eat anything. He even agreed this wasn?t good. Theturkey was not good. The Smokey flavor was weird to say the least and as you can tell from the photos it wasn?t ?right?. Whatturkey has gristle on the top, sides and middle of EVERY piece. We served everyone a plate and it all went in the trash. Anentire family of 6 refuses to eat it. The sides tasted store bought. Again the mac and chees has a weird Smokey flavor thatisn?t enjoyable in a watery mixture around it. The potato salad was surprisingly well loved & of course what we got the leastof. Even the chocolate pie was not enjoyed, whatever the top fluff is was universally scrapped off as we all pawed at the wateryunderside. The pecan pie was over cooked & hard to break apart. I made no ?back up? thanksgiving, so ours was just ruined quitefrankly (nothing else is open today). The ?rolls? they mentioned came with the meal was a literal pack (still in the plastic) ofregular store bought Hawaiian rolls. That should be mentioned when one is buying what should be restaurant made/hand made food.Nowhere was that told. I wish we had somewhere to donate any of this because I?m not kidding when I say no one in this family of6 could stomach it down. We went for lunch today for the first time. The food was excellent, prices were really reasonable and the service was so... friendly. The BEST banana pudding ever!! The BBQ was tender and had such good flavor. i was served the biggest stuffed potato Ihave ever seen. Overall great experience and we will definitely be back. Read more
Incredible!! Seriously - as good as it gets! THE BEST chili cheese dog this side of Dog River, Saskatchewan!!* The Ribs and... Wings were as good as any I've had anywhere! The fries and potato salad could not have been better! The service was prompt, kindand friendly. The place was spotless and comfortable. I?ve had their breakfast different times and it?s always great. Chocolate gravy and biscuits, bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits,... all great. Their brisket sandwich had a great flavor and the slaw on it paired well. I further drenched the sandwich in theirin-house hot sauce and was pleasantly surprised by the taste and heat. The BBQ that my wife got, on the other hand, was quitebad. Tasted like it had been bought frozen and then re-heated after getting freezer burn. I hope it was pre-made because if it?sfresh made, in-house, I?m not sure how they got it tasting that badly. Overall, I still give this place a 7/10. Much more goodthan bad.
