Paul and Yvonne are kind hosts and wonderful people! The property is gorgeous, spotless, and well-maintained. They always go the... extra mile to make sure guests are comfortable and welcomed, making sure I had a tasty, healthy, and nutritious breakfast everyday despite my specific dietary restrictions. They gave great recommendations in terms of local activities and where to findfarm-fresh produce. King Hill Inn was the perfect refuge to recharge after my busy days at a nearby conference. I definitelywanted to stay another week! Read more

I've stayed at King Hill Inn and enjoyed it thoroughly. The owners/operators are accommodating, interested in my comfort and... healthy eating choices, and have welcomed me back. There are times when my schedule has changed and they have assured me that Iwill be welcome whatever the changes may be. Their hospitality is a most welcome experience when I'm not at my own home. I workfor Proctor Academy mostly off-campus/remotely and when I need to feel at home, they are there for me and the many others -trustees or families - who are coming to campus and looking for a wonderful place to stay. A lovingly maintained older property with beautiful appointments. Hosts Yvonne and Paul are so personable - we enjoyed chatting... with them very much. The breakfasts, cooked by Paul, were delicious, and Yvonne took care of everything else. We don't usuallywrite reviews but enjoyed ourselves so much that next time Paul and Yvonne are in our part of the state we plan to meet them fordinner at our favorite restaurant. Read more

They do not honor their reservations. We made a reservation on their own website months before a busy fall weekend. Almost a... month later they contacted us to say their system made a mistake and they have no rooms. Paul did not help us find a roomelsewhere nor did he offer any compensation. We have nowhere to stay for our daughter's family weekend. DON"T TRUST THEIRBOOKING SYSTEM To the owner's response below: please feel free to post the emails. FWIW, per google maps, the Hampton Inn is16.9 miles from Proctor Academy and 31 minute drive. Your hotel is 7.3 miles and a 10 minute drive. This makes the drive to thehotel you are recommending 3 times as far as the drive we had booked to your hotel. All we really wanted was for you to dosomething helpful to make up for your mistake so we could stay nearby. Telling us the names of places half an hour away that wecan see on the map isn't really "help". Read more
